February 13th, 11:59 pm
(CST – Mexico City).
We all want to be part of a story of success, right? Well, guess what? There has never
been a more promising and exciting time in AIESEC in Mexico.
So, in the past years, we grew consistently across all programs, in 20 out of 24 local entities. And of course, our revenue grew
accordingly; our national reserves doubled from last year. We’re in the process of starting 9 new LCs and 25 SU’s, quadruple the
number of new AIESEC entities we started in the last 4 years combined (and the county still has a lot of geographic potential to
grow!); partners are increasing their satisfaction reports, member retention rate is peaking, our events have become true top
quality, and our connections to business leaders had never been this high. We’re proud of our performance so far, and we are
very excited about our future.
But you might say: almost all AIESEC countries are growing. That is true, but we are growing fast even by AIESEC standards.
Quality membership has let us climb the exchange performance ladders. In 2010, we were placed 30th globally. We jumped to
21st in 2011, and recently to 14th in 2012. In fact, considering the current MC term growth, out of the top 40 of the network from
last year, we are the fastest growing entity at 110% in total X (where the top 15 average was 21%). At this pace, we aim to break
the top 8 next year…. Or, who knows? Maybe more.
In addition, the socio-economic environment is very attractive for AIESEC in Mexico’s growth. The bright economic forecast of
the country really excites me. As a leading power in Latin America, Mexico is rising steadily in the global playground as a top
player. Forget about that image of a troublesome Mexico that media portrays, this country is really rocking it!
I.- WELCOME MESSAGE
And it’s precisely for this reason that we cannot settle, we cannot stop. A “good” team is not enough. The selection process that
is explained in this booklet has been designed to find a balanced, high performing team made of specialists, that works in sync;
passionate and devoted AIESECers that can amass a following and lead them to epic success. Highly motivated, emotionally
intelligent, hungry leaders are required. We’re looking for the best talent our global network offers. Are you up to the challenge?
The best choice you could make.
In return, the MC Mexico offer as an experience is up to the stakes. I believe the Mexican MC is one of the most comfortable and
valuable MCs in the network. We’re financially solid, so MC salary is guaranteed, punctual and way above sufficiency. To give
you an idea, the 11-12 team managed well, and our12-13 team just had a 43% raise! Furthermore, our alumni network gives
amazing support and is very well positioned in business and government, so if it goes about connections, here’s the place to be.
We will celebrate our 50th anniversary in April 2013, so we’ll be bursting with celebration with highly engaged alumni.
The diversity and culture of our country will captivate anybody, our membership is welcoming to foreign MC members, and the
lifestyle MC Mexico involves is full of amusement, travel and learning. We live in one the hippest zones of all Latin America, in the
vibrant Mexico City, the largest urban settlement outside Asia. Just imagine the fun that 6 LCs in the city mean: this is for sure
one of the locations with most AIESECers, alumni and trainees in the world! Don’t speak Spanish? Mexican AIESECers have a
good English level: our conferences, material and communications in English. Besides, Spanish is the second most spoken
language globally, and Mexico is the right place to learn it, as it is the largest Spanish-speaking country out there.
If you’re considering an MC opportunity, whatever countries you are contemplating, no matter if you’re Mexican or foreign,
Spanish-speaker or not, there no reason why you shouldn’t think of Mexico. So, if you’re reading this booklet, you’re exploring
the right choice, because with all certainty, this will be a story of success. Welcome to the process.

III.- OPEN POSITIONS
Download the
JDs here!
Provided for MCVPs (full-time)
• SALARY
5,000 MXN monthly. Always punctual.
With this you are expected to cover breakfast and dinner on working
days and weekend meals. Buying and cooking, you could eat for 25
MXN in Mexico City, potentially saving 3,300 MXN/month for
expenses besides food (16 meals/week).
“Other expenses” involve going out, personal items and travel.
Traveling in the country on the weekends is a common thing.
Acapulco, Los Cabos, Guanajuato, Puebla… endless options are in the
menu. The current MC team’s girls went to Cancun for a week already
and we’re headed to a Team Vacation to Cuba in May (we personally
cover this).
Transportation is no problem, we walk 20 minutes from the flat to the
office. Public transportation is super cheap.
• HOUSING - Living expenses that the MC covers:
Rent of MC flat
All utilities (gas, internet, phone, electricity, taxes, etc.)
Bottled water and coffee in the MC flat and in the office
All basic home & cleaning supplies
• One “international experience” covered by the MC (fee and flight)
This is either an Xpro, IC (if selected) or other AIESEC conference
abroad. Opportunities outside AIESEC that represent personal
development can be considered too.
** Aside a different salary, full-times receive the benefits part-times have.
Provided for Managers (part-time)
• SALARY
2,500 MXN monthly. Always punctual.
Easily covers daily transportation to the office and meals for the
whole week, and allows for other expenses.
• MEALS
All MC members have either one (reaaaally awesome) full buffet
meal chef-prepared provided in the office building with a
different main course each day, or a paid meal in a nearby
restaurant on working days. It does make a difference in lifestyle.
• CONFERENCES
All part-time and full-time members are expected to attend
relevant national/regional conferences with their fee and
transportation covered by the MC. We have 6 national
conferences a year. 4 are attended by all MCs.
• TRAVEL EXPENSES
When doing LC coaching visits, all expenses will be covered
(except for dinner and breakfast). Depending on your profile
you’ll be allocated to one, two or three LCs within or outside
Mexico City. This is a great opportunity to see the country.
Often, LCs pay for MC members to attend local events, so
additional travel happens.
IV.- BENEFITS AND FINANCIALS

Questionnaire Guidelines
The number of questions is small, and
questions are general. So, make an effort to
go into depth. That’s why there’s no limit to
the length of the application or the
answers. Still, be straight to the point.
For each set, there’s a question in bold
underlined font, make sure that answer
makes you stand out.
Avoid phrases that are vacuous like
“increasing capacity”, “generating
strategies”, “improving the systems” or the
like. Be specific and detailed.
Good grammar and spelling are indeed
fundamental; do not waste time in design.
All questions can be also answered with
drawings, tables, diagrams, graphs… you’re
free to do so. Text alone (but good text) can
be enough for the most part though.
You can always contact
[email protected] for clarification.
MCVP oGIP Make a SWOT of the current area
nationwide.
How is MCVP oGIP role different
from MCVP oGCDP role? How do we

including data recovery of interested people, information systems, virtual review
board and online payment.

national plenary that makes you valuable?
