Leadership in every experience – GIP AIESEC in Colombia Global Leadership Awards Application 2014 was a very important year for AIESEC in Colombia in terms of GIP growth, program evolution and also increasing the overall quality of the program. The first and most important thing about GIP in AIESEC in Colombia is that is permanently connected to the purpose of the organization and therefore Incoming GIP is strongly connected to the teaching issue present within Colombia and Outgoing GIP is clearly focused on giving each EP a competitive edge in the market and knowledge with which he/she can bring back to Colombia and contribute to the development of an organization. To increase the experience of our EPs and members while experiencing this program, we planted 3 key and fundamental strategies which helped increase our results. The first one is regarding the synergy between BD at national level and the MCVP iGIP, using “CLO”, we downscaled national accounts into local entities and empowered them to reach a high volume within a short time, something they wouldn’t have done individually. As a result, we delivered more than 35 TNs with 10 LCs, growing overall the national results by 15%. The second one is strongly increasing the quality in oGIP, which had a goal of NPS of 65 from 45 in 2013. Happy to say that starting in July the NPS score was 47 and August was 54. What did we do for it? Quite simple: we standardized delivery processes, ensured an empowered ECB member responsable only for oGIP which helped a lot with keeping local issues from becoming national problems and also we continued with having a Quality CEEDer in India, currently our biggest partner. The third key strategy for leadership in every experience in going heads on with the challenge of running Simple GIP in both i/o programs, because we wanted to show the membership how to break paradigms, that we still have a lot to learn and a lot to grow as an entity. From an iGIP perspective, we lauched the Brand of“iGIP higher” and we are currently running it with 4 pilot LCs, out of which 2 have achieved their first raises. Regarding oGIP we decided to go even further and we achieved our first Simple GIP realization with Mexico, paving the way for many other realizations and LCs that take initiative. With all the above being mentioned, we as AIESEC in Colombia are proud to say that we are looking to be pioneers within the global network in terms of membership empowerement, connecting to the purpose of our programs and offering an amazing experience to all our stakeholders, even more for the EPs and interns.

To increase the experience of our EPs and members while experiencing this program, weplanted 3 key and fundamental strategies which helped increase our results.

The first one is regarding the synergy between BD at national level and the MCVP iGIP,using “CLO”, we downscaled national accounts into local entities and empowered themto reach a high volume within a short time, something they wouldn’t have doneindividually. As a result, we delivered more than 35 TNs with 10 LCs, growing overall thenational results by 15%.

The second one is strongly increasing the quality in oGIP, which had a goal of NPS of 65from 45 in 2013. Happy to say that starting in July the NPS score was 47 and August was54. What did we do for it? Quite simple: we standardized delivery processes, ensured anempowered ECB member responsable only for oGIP which helped a lot with keepinglocal issues from becoming national problems and also we continued with having aQuality CEEDer in India, currently our biggest partner.

The third key strategy for leadership in every experience in going heads on with thechallenge of running Simple GIP in both i/o programs, because we wanted to show themembership how to break paradigms, that we still have a lot to learn and a lot to growas an entity. From an iGIP perspective, we lauched the Brand of“iGIP higher” and we arecurrently running it with 4 pilot LCs, out of which 2 have achieved their first raises.Regarding oGIP we decided to go even further and we achieved our first Simple GIPrealization with Mexico, paving the way for many other realizations and LCs that takeinitiative.
