Welcome to another edition of AIE-SEC Croatia’s national newsletter, first one with news from the new cal-endar year and events that hap-pened in the previous month!
We were all really hardworking and many, many things happened during January—AIESEC Croatia has gotten first MC elects for the term 2013-14, “Hoću na praksu” campaign had an amazing jump start, specialized units started working with full en-gines...all in all, it was a good month for all of us!

We selected Member recruitment team ( Ljubica Sendic is TL), EP recruitment team (Tihomir Petrović is TL), Human Rights recruitment team(Andrea Bogić is TL) team and Project development team ( Karolina Herega is temporary VP PD).
Alumni mngm transferred to COMM&IM team ICX raised new TN Dječje Kazalište Palčić and Vodovod approved their donation. We selected SUPs for Vukovar and Slavonski
Brod 4 interns for Equal in Diversity projects are
matched—from Italy, Greece, Germany and Lat-via.
ER raised public transportation for interns. OGX again had OPS in HZZ. TM prepared LC Team Building. Nela Obradović is new OCP of LTS

OGX worked hard and we had 4 info meeting - attendance was awesome, we had 20 interviews and 15 more to come
Marina Rubil from Pula was elected as an SUP and we have 4 SU VPs.
TM is working on recruitment and educations. Preparations for LC team building and quiz are ongoing . Recruitment team was also elected.
Congratulations to Danijel Sesar and Damir Kasumagić for becoming our OCPs!!!
ICX is working hard on matching for EcoSinergy and is making all necessary preparations for project.
ER is giving their best to raise sponsorship for EcoSynergy as well as for sLDC. In colaborations with IG Zagreb meeting with Carpe Diem d.o.o. was held. We are trying to raise one more tourist animation company called Samarcanda.
PR&M is working on promotion of our pbox, recruitment and intWeek, and Alumni newsletter along with Alumni coord, who elected OC for ARE and is very excited about preparing the event - Alumni reunion event will be held on 6th of April.
F people made 4 grant application and we all hope that we will get some money. Big thanks to Andrea from NST and Bernada from Split for their support.

OGX - 4 on MA OGX had recruitment in Zadar we established SU in Zadar
and we have our lovely SUP Eva Miletić and they raised first EP RA from Zadar
we got 8000 kn on grant of student council for EkoSinergija
LCP application is open, next time we present you new LCP of AIESEC Split 3 new OCP positions are open (40th Anniversary of LC Split, Recruitment and LTS,
Global Village and Closing of EkoSinergija) next month we present new OCP's and OC's :)
EB preparations for the last months of the term Matching for GCDP projects in progress :) New IKCP in progress (contract and JQ signing in first week of February and we
agreed press conference for signing contracts on 13.2) we organized event for students for educations on internet marketing in cooperation
with Akcija and Escape studio we have our new maskot - Tvrtko - meet him on SLDC

A word from SU National Coordinator...
On behalf of the MC Croatia 12/13, it’s an honour to say that we started to implement the SU idea into action!!!
On WLDC you heard about SU for the first time, and now, two months after the conference, we have four SUs; Vukovar, Sla-vonski Brod, Zadar and Pula, and four really amazing people who are leading it and have a major role in the entire project – three of them we are presenting now, and one later since it has been chosen as SUP just a few days ago!
Right now, Specialized Unit project is one of the main priorities in AIESEC Croatia. Main reason is that we want to achieve our National Goal of 200 ex-changes, but also to push ourselves to achieve more impact in a whole new way. We will make it only by working efficiently and effectively!

Volunteering represents a great challenge for me – I want to change the world, explore, learn something new every day and meet new people. I expect my life to be filled with challenges, ups and downs, with work and investments in my knowledge! AIESEC makes all of that possible for me and that's why I'm a part of this project!
SU Slvonski Brod so far:
We introduced AIESEC to students, introduced “Hoću na praksu” page to them and encouraged them to think about volunteering! I think we are slowly, but surely succeeding with our final goal, everything is very organized so far and if we connect all the dots of this project until the end, everything will be very successful!

SUP: Tomislav Barović
Development of possibilities on my university, meeting new cul-tures, need for new challenges, presenting Danube region and a proof that Vukovar is not neglected – those are motives why I applied for this position and AIESEC!
After my elections as SUP and meeting a lot of young, ambitious and smart people from LC Osijek, I started to form a team that will give their best in implementing „Hoću na praksu“ in Vukovar. My new team mates are my colleague Marina Barić as SUVP OGX - because of her amazing communication skills and English language, and Dino Božino-vić as SU VP PR&Mktg, with excellent communication and presentation skills. What we achieved so far is next:
“Hoću na praksu” FB page promotion among students and general promotion through portals “Panorama Vukovar”, contacting new student service to start with the promo-tion on university pages and through other media. We promoted HNP on student pages and groups also.
Start of agreement with cafe bar “The Dublin Pub” to start promoting on their FB pages and putting posters and promo materials in their bar.

Although I have met AIESEC recently, I didn't take me a lot to real-ize that I want to be a party of this organization. Not only it allows young people to use their free time in a high-quality way, but it also gives and opportunity to develop their skills that will be useful in their future life. AIESEC is a great opportunity for me to raise my self-esteem and become more innovative and to achieve positive impact on society with my work! Thank you, LC Split, for giving me that opportunity!

As you already know, our dear MC VP TM&LCD Dženita Džindo is our newly
elected MCP for the term 2013-14 in AIESEC Croatia!
During January she started a pursuit for her new MC team!
In the fiirst round 4 candidates applied for MC positions—Ivan Amidžić, LC VP
OGX in AIESEC Osijek, Leonard Laštro, IGP in AIESEC Zagreb, Dino Lukanec, LC
VP OGX in AIESEC Varaždin and Zaure Zhumabekova from AIESEC Kazahstan!
Congratulations to all the brave candidates who went through tough Election
panel!

“Hoću na praksu” campaign started in January as a common project of PR&Mktg and OGX national teams! The main idea of the campaign was to raise awareness of our GCDP internship and try to make a reach and transfer the right message about importance and benefits of volunteering to our target audience from all over the Croatia!
In the first month, HNP had amazing results and our expectations were more than achieved, although we can always do more and better!
Lets see the wrap-up of the first month:
Around 1400 likes on FB page—200 more than planned
Average reach is 60%
More than 150 applications for our volunteering internship
Each LC did a great job with their week on HNP—all national agreements and ideas
implemented
go-away.org used as a national tool—although many improvements need to be
done
Media releases about HNP in almost all LCs and on national level—around 30 media
releases
A couple of words of praise: a big round of applause for PRs: Klara, Josipa, Petra H., Biber and Josip, and OGXers Amidža, Leon, Dino, Pejo and Petra, and to my right hand Simon, our NST IM!
You did and amazing job, proud of you! Lets keep up the good work! <3

Zdravo ljudi!
January came and passed with lots of food and drinks I guess for most of us!
I don’t know if you have counted but we have ONLY 4 months of our LC term left!
This is why in this message I just want to say a huge BRAVO to all of us for all the things we have achieved so far in the term!
We managed ljudi to create NEW National ICX project and raise it within a period of less
than 2 months!!!
And now we are matching those TNs!!
We created new promotion for oGCDP- Hocu na praksu and now more people hoce ici
na praksu!
Not even to mention New Recruitment Structure!
All these and much more happened because ALL of US worked hard after WLDC and we proved that it wasn’t a conference that we just had fun but we actually used it in the best
way possible and RESULTS are visible!! :DD
We still miss a lot to reach 200 but with this rhythm, I believe WE CAN DO IT! :)
Let the rest period to be 4 months full of
JOY, HARD WORK and MAKING SOCIETY A BIT BETTER
through our internships and our members!
