The local technology sector in Israel is also continuing to grow, develop, and

panies; in the last decade alone, 753 Israeli technology com
panies were acquired in the am

enter); and according to the 2012 Global
Venture Capital Confidence Survey from
Deloitte and the N
ational Venture Capital A
ssociation, the global venture capital industry still sees Israel as one of the m
ost attractive targets for investment.

economic crisis w

years, that was m
ainly due to its financial and banking industries, but it is im
portant to note and to recognize the contribution of the Israeli technology industry to the creation of stability and grow
th during unstable times.

GlobalThe Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program is part of the Global Fast 500 program which is conducted in three regions:Asia Pacific Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Koreaand Taiwan.Europe, the Middle East and AfricaAfrica, Belgium, Central Europe, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Turkey.North America Canada and United States.
LocalThis is the 13th year that Deloitte Brightman Almagor Zohar is conducting the program in Israel.
ParticipantsThe Fast 50 winners list consists of Israeli technology companies that match the program criteria, as detailed below. Private companies are independently nominated and public companies are automatically nominated based on their financial reports.
Growth Measured by RevenuesThe 2012 Israeli Fast 50 program ranks Israeli technology companies based on their five-year revenue growth in percentages between 2007 and 2011 based on audited figures.
CriteriaTo be eligible for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program, your company must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a technology company, defined as: • Must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues.
• Devote a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology (using other companies’ technology in a unique way does not qualify).
2. Revenues for 2007 must be at least 50,000 Euro and revenues for 2011 must be at least 800,000 Euro 3. Headquarter located in Israel.
The Benefits of Being a WinnerAs a Technology Fast 50 winner, the company enters an exclusive international community which includes other technology companies from around the globe. Membership in this group provides the company opportunities to leverage the company’s business development and achieve it’s goals.
These opportunities include:
• Media exposure and recognition from financial and business communities around the world.
• Exposure to the Deloitte Global Networking: Enables the winning companies to approach leading Deloitte Technology Media and Telecommunications executives from around the world who work with the biggest and most prestigious companies in the industry. They will also be assisted by the local Deloitte office and practitioners in each country, in order to contact and network with any of the winning companies around the world.
The fast facts demonstrates the sector and the average growth, while reflecting on the change in trends from 2011. The 2012 Technology Fast 50 companies achieved an average revenue growth over five years of 677%, compared to 887%, in the previous year. The top 10 companies grew on average by 2,725%. The overall winner is MyThings, demonstrating a very impressive five-year revenue growth rate of 7,830%. Private companies comprise 56% of the 2012 Technology Fast 50 list. The leading sector among the winners of 2012 is the Software sector, with 38% of the winning companies. The subsequent sector this year is the Telecommunications/Networking sector with 20% of the winning companies.
