the initiative of former director Razvan Ciuca - coordinator of the Museum of Agriculture in Romania from 1990 until 2011

HEADQUARTERS has 3866 square meters (developed area) and land for 8420 sqm.The competence National Museum of Agriculture is the object of the history of agriculture, anthropology and archeology specific industrial land across the country.

Museum Heritage

  Wooden Church „Poiana" - a historical and architectural monument (1737), which provides religious services for the parish "Annunciation";

  PERIETI model farm - monument of agrarian history, the largest farm seed production of vegetables and flowers from Eastern Europe in the first half of the century. XX.

   Outdoor units: a) Headquarters: Economic house (early XX century); barn (1869); Traditional ovens for baking bread; buoys fountain (1853, 1937); mean Funeral (1889, 1877); b) in-situ complex installation comprising mill stones (1935) and for the finished cloth mill, operated by engine "DEUTZ" (1912), Danica, Valcea County.

 Collections Representative (over 13330 pieces): tools, agricultural machinery and equipment industrial archeology; transportation; ethnography; history-memoir, art and religion.

   Scientific and documentary archive: over 70,000 units.    The Library: over 13,000 units.    Park: over 55 dendrological species.

MUSEUM CAPITALIZATION

   Temporary exhibitions. Participation in national and international fairs (pavilion and outdoor

exhibitions, demonstrations). Visitable deposit. Specific programs: "House of Bread" and "We-I" attract every year

tens of thousands of visitors. The museum shop: folk art and crafts publications.

INTERNATIONAL DIALOGUE M.N.A. It is affiliated to international bodies belonging to the UNESCO (International Association of Agricultural Museums, International Society for Ethnology and Folklore, the International Organization of Folk Arts). Since 2004, the Museum is a member of International Association of Agricultural Museums (AIMA).

Diplomas, medals and TROPHIES received over the years shaping the personality of a far-reaching cultural and scientific institutions.

Medal "Métiers d'Art", conferred by Societe des Metiers d'Art d'Encouregement organizing Romania's pavilion at the event Carrefour des Metiers d'Art International - Le Touquet, France (1991).

Nominated for European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA 1998) Award "Dimitrie Leonida" (2003) and the award "Horia Bernea" (2004),

granted by the Ministry of Culture in the Awards for National Cultural Heritage.
