Promote and extend improved technologies like seed, micro-nutrients, soil amendments, integrated pest management, farm machinery and resource conservation technologies along with capacity building of farmers. Distribution of hybrid seeds, need based plant and soil management, resources conservation techniques, efficient water tools, cropping based training and local initiatives, award for best performing districts.

NATIONAL MISSION ON BAMBOO (2006-07) Roughly same as NFMS points just replace seeds with Bamboo.NATIONAL MISSION ON OILSEEDS AND OIL PALM (ISOPOM) (2004-5) Integrated Scheme of Oilseeds, pulses, oil palm and maize (ISOPOM), it got merged with NFM in 2010. For area have look page no 91-92.NATIONAL MISSION FOR SUSTAINBLE AGRICULTURE (NMSA) It is one of the 8 missions of NAPCC Aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture through 17 deliverables focusing on 10 key dimension of Indian agriculture. It has subsumed, Rainfed Area Development programme (RADP), National mission on Micro Irrigation (NMMI), National Project on Organic Farming (NPOF), National project on Mangement of Soil Health and Fertility (NPMSH&F) and Soil and Landuse survey under this domain. Special focus on development of rainfed areas, resources conservation, water use efficiency and soil health management. Transform Indian Agriculture into a climate resilient production system through suitable adaptation and mitigation measures in domains of crop and animal husbandry. Primary focus on conservation and sustainable use of natural resources for food and livelihood security. Rainfed Area Development (RAD) Explore potential utilization of natural resources base/assets available created through watershed development and soil conservation activities. It will rely on integrated farming system for enhancing productivity and minimizing risks associated with climatic variabilities. On Farm Water Management (OFWM) Enchaining water use efficiency by promoting efficient on-farm water management technologies and equipment.Soil Health Management Promoting location as well as crop specific sustainable soil health management, including residue management, organic farming by way of creating and Programme Components.KISAN CREDIT CARD (KCC) Implemented by Commercial bank, Cooperative banks and Regional Rural Banks. Augmenting credit flow for agricultural activities. Include term credit and consumption needs.USE OF IT The National Policy for Farmers, 2007 lays emphasis on use of IT for achieving rapid development of agriculture. Preparation of Geo-Referenced Soil Fertility maps including interlinking of soil fertility status with Soil test crop response (STCR) Use of customized fertilizers to promote site specific nutrient management so as to achieve maximum fertilizer use efficiency. These contan multi nutrient carrier designed to contain macro and micro nutrients and are soil and crop specific. Training for farmers on balanced use, Field demonstration with financial assistanceFARM MECHANIZATION Enhances productivity besides human drudgery and cost of cultivation, helps in utilization efficiency of other inputs, safety and comfort of agricultural workers.
