Agriculture in India holds the key for inclusive growth and supporting the rural livelihood on a sustainable basis. Uttar Pradesh endowed with plenty of natural resources viz., fertile soils, perennial rivers as source of irrigation, varying climate to suit different crops and enterprising farmers is considered a 'low productivity high potential' region looking for an ever-green revolution to usher in. A number of premier research institutions under National Agricultural Research System (NARS) working in the State have developed umpteen technologies capable of catapulting agricultural growth to a higher trajectory. However, majority of such technologies has not reached their end users for the want of effective linkages among stakeholders. The 'Conclave', proposed to be an annual event, is aimed to provide a platform for the research institutes/State Agriculture Universities based in the State and Developmental Departments to discuss on various issues pertaining technology generation and dissemination process, and formulating suitable measures for hastening the research-development linkage for the overall agricultural development in the State. Besides the Interface Meet, it is proposed to organise brain storming on IP issues, awareness programme on Protection of plant varieties and farmers' rights and kisan goshthi. An exhibition to showcase the latest technological developments would also be organised on the occasion. It would provide a unique opportunity for all those interested in dissemination of their products/ services to large number of end users and get the feed-back from the actual users. Participants would also have a chance to get enlightened on different aspects of agricultural developments through plenary lectures to be delivered by renowned experts on the subject. All those interested are invited to contribute and get benefited through mutual sharing of knowledge and expertise.

Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow is located on Lucknow-Raebareli Road (Near Base Hospital, Cantonment). The distance from Lucknow railway station (Charbagh) to the Institute is about 4.5 km.
