Now is your chance to make your very own Lil’ Agnes and turn her into a squeeshy amigurumi plush toy. Lil’ Agnes is approximately 18cm tall, 24cm including the hair. Crochet Pattern: Lil’ Agnes (Despicable Me)

Materials:

Yarn(s) - Beige, Yellow, Grey, Blue, Black, Small amount of White and Red 8ply Acrylic Yarn.

Crochet Hooks - Size 3.0mm and 3.5mm

Yarn Needle

Tapestry Needle

White Tapestry Thread

Fiberfill

1 pair of 13mm Safety Eyes.

Small amount of White and Red Felt.

Fabric Glue.

Stitch Marker or Safety Pin

Note:

1. This pattern works in continuous rounds (instead of joined rounds).

2. The jumper, side burn and pony tail work in Rows.

Head and Body:

Beige, Grey and Yellow Yarn, 3.0mm Hook.

Starting with Beige Yarn.

Rnd 1: MR, sc 6 in MR. (6)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)

Rnd 3: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (18)

Rnd 4: *sc 2, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (24)

Rnd 5: *sc 3, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (30)

Rnd 6: *sc 4, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (36)

Rnd 7: *2 sc in next sc, sc 5*, repeat around. (42)

Rnd 8: *2 sc in next sc, sc 6*, repeat around. (48)

Cut out 2 round pieces of white felt slightly bigger than the 13mm eyes.

Glue the white felt onto the 13mm eyes.

Attach the safety eyes between Rnd 16 and Rnd 17, approximately 10 stitches apart.

Continue on 1st sc on Rnd 10.

F/O and weave in the remaining yarn.

Start of left jumper leg hole.

Rnd 10: sc 19 times. (19)

Last sc onto the inner crotch area.

Continue on 1st sc on Rnd 10.

Rnd 11: sc 17, dec 1. (18)

Rnd 12: sc around. (18)

F/O and weave in the remaining yarn.

Jumper Top piece and Strap:

Blue Yarn, 3.5mm Hook.

Start of jumper’s front piece.

Continue on Rnd 1 of Jumper (Overall).

Row 1-2: sc 10, Ch 1 and turn. (10)

Row 3: sc 10. (10)

Start of jumper strap.

Ch approximately 10 to 12 stitches. F/O and cut off yarn.

Start of jumper’s back piece.

Count 9 stitches from jumper’s front piece and start Row 1.

Row 1-2: sc 10, Ch 1 and turn. (10)

Row 3: sc 10. (10)

Start of jumper strap.

Ch approximately 10 to 12 stitches. F/O and cut off yarn.

Secure the front strap to top of jumper’s back piece and secure the back strap to jumper’s front piece.

Jumper’s Pocket:

Blue Yarn, 3.5mm Hook.

Ch 7.

Row 1-2: sc 6, Ch 1 and turn. (6)

Row 3: dec 1, sc 2, dec 1. (4)

Stuff with fiberfill.

Add on fiberfill to stuff the entire leg.

Pony Tail: (make 12 strands)

Black Yarn, 3.0mm Hook.

Ch 10.

Refer to picture above: Secure and tie all the individual strands to the center area of the hair.

Scrunchy:

Red Yarn. 3.0mm Hook.

Ch 12 and turn.

Row 1: sc 11 across. (11)

F/O, weave in remaining yarn.

Sew the red scrunchy onto the pony tail and hair.

Assembling: (Refer to pictures)

Sew the legs to the jumper as shown in the picture above.

Sew the pocket onto the front jumper.

Sew the hair on the head.

Sew the ears to each side of the head.

Sew the arms to each side of the body.

Sew the jumper to the body.

Using black yarn and yarn needle, sew on the eyebrows in between Rnd 15 and Rnd 16 about 6 stitches apart.

Use a small piece of red felt, cut 2 small circles and glue on the jumper.

Sew the nose after Rnd 19 and before Rnd 22.

Lastly, give Lil’ Agnes rosy cheeks by using some pink blusher or pink fabric marker to colour the cheeks.
