T o determine how balanced nutrition programsincrease the productivity of crops and vegetables,AGGRAND scientists compared petrochemical fertilizerswith AGGRAND fertilizers. In one AGGRAND experi-ment conducted at the AGGRAND facilities, cabbagefertilized with AGGRAND produced larger heads,compared to those produced by Miracle Gro .

The ExperimentSeveral AGGRAND treatments were compared toMiracle Gro. Two of the AGGRAND treatments weregrown on soilless media, and the Miracle Gro treatmentwas grown on media with soil to see if AGGRANDcould outproduce Miracle Gro without relying on theextra nutritional value of the soil.

Growth Test Results

Group IThree ounces of AGGRAND 4-3-3 Natural Fertilizerwere mixed with one gallon of water and applied to themedia and leaves every two weeks.

Group IIThree ounces of AGGRAND 4-3-3 Natural Fertilizer weremixed with one gallon of water and applied to the mediaand leaves every two weeks. In addition, this group wasgiven an additional foliar treatment before heading anda banded treatment was applied at transplanting. Forthe banded treatment at planting, two ounces of AGGRAND 4-3-3 Natural Fertilizer, two ounces of AGGRAND 0-12-0 Liquid Bonemeal and one ounce of AGGRAND 0-0-8 Natural Kelp and Sulfate of Potash

were mixed in one quart of water. This mixture wasplaced into a trench below and to the side of the roots.

Group IIIOne teaspoon of Miracle Gro fertilizer was mixed withone gallon of water and applied to the media as directed.Group III followed the same two-week fertilizationschedule as Groups I and II.

The ResultsGroups I and II both produced highly signicant increasesin mean head weights over Group III (see graph below).Group I produced a 308 percent increase in mean headweight, while Group II produced a 379 percent increase

in mean head weight. Group II also produced an increaseof 71 percent in mean head weight over Group I.

This experiment proved that AGGRAND NaturalFertilizer outperforms Miracle Gro, even when theplants treated with AGGRAND Fertilizer are grown insoilless media. In addition, the use of banded and foliarapplications with a combination of AGGRAND productsis effective in obtaining even higher yields than soilapplications of one AGGRAND product alone.
