Adjunct Professor at MDI, Gurgaon 

 Prof. Sanjay Bakshi is an experienced and             successful value investor/advisor and is also           one of India’s best-recognized finance         professors who has been teaching Security           Analysis, Behavioral Finance and Business         Valuation at Management Development       Institute, Gurgaon since 2001. As a           practitioner of value investing in India for             more than 25 years, Sanjay has an excellent               long-term track record. 

 

 

Sanjay received M.Sc. (Economics) from London School of Economics and Political                     Science and B.Com. (Hons.) from University of Delhi, India. He is also a fellow member                             of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.            

      

Mr. Parijat Garg, CFA An algorithmic trader, investor, and entrepreneur 

 Parijat Garg, CFA, is an algorithmic trader, investor, and                 entrepreneur with 11 years of systematic trading             experience under his belt. He is a computer science                 engineer from IIT Bombay and a CFA charterholder since                 2011. Having begun his career with Tower Research               Capital, now a global leader in high-frequency             algorithmic trading, Garg then began to apply             systematic trading strategies in the Indian markets and               has been trading in India for more than seven years now. 

 

 

He also maintains a concentrated equity portfolio built on long-term investing                     principles. He is a rare individual who has enjoyed success at two extremes of the                             financial markets: very long-term investing as well as ultra short-term algorithmic                     trading. He strongly believes and demonstrates that it is possible to create wealth                         using a wide variety of techniques. All it requires is skill, discipline, and a little bit of                                 luck! 

             

  Mr. Sameer Kothari MD & CEO, Hindustan foods 

 Sameer Kothari is the Managing Director of Hindustan               Foods Limited and Promoter of the Vanity Case Group Of                   Companies.  

 

20 years of manufacturing experience.  

Strategic decisions making; leads the group from the front,                 with a persistent eye on the bottom-line. 

 

A Chartered Accountant and a MBA from Cornell University, USA, with a mission to                           build an outsourcing manufacturing platform to help develop partners’ business                   through a low cost operation model. Sameer loves to hold review meetings [read                         grueling sessions] with his managers at Starbucks over uncomfortable conversation                   and Iced latte.   

  Mr. Raj Mehta,  Fund Manager, PPFAS Mutual Fund 

 Beginning his career as an intern with PPFAS               Mutual Fund in 2012, Raj swiftly moved up the                 ranks and is currently part of the Fund               Management team. Apart from being a Commerce             graduate from University of Mumbai (N.M. College),             he is also a Fellow Member of Institute of Chartered                   Accountants of India (ICAI) and a CFA Charter               Holder.  

 

 

He has also earned a Certificate for the ‘NSE Debt Market Module’ issued jointly by                             FIMMDA and NCFM. He is also featured as a regular participant on various TV                           channels and a columnist in select financial publications. 

 

  

  Mr. Rajeev Agrawal Managing Director   

Rajeev as the founder-CEO of Innoviti is responsible               for driving the vision and growth of the organization.                 An engineer by profession, Rajeev has spent his               formative years at Sasken, Bangalore, heading their             ADSL products division. Rajeev has a B. Tech and                 Ph. D from IIT Bombay. A strong believer of 'happy                   work culture', Rajeev's attempt at Innoviti is to               create a company that everyone associated with will               be proud of.    

 

 

 Mr. R. Balakrishnan 

 Balakrishnan (or Bala as he is known popularly) has had a                     fruitful innings that covers banking, finance, industry,             capital markets and credit rating. He is one of the                   founding team members of CRISIL and before that has                 worked in finance and banking. He was also on                 secondment from CRISIL to help Malaysia set up its first                   credit rating agency and spent over a year, helping set it                     up. After CRISIL, he shifted to capital markets. He was                   head of research as DSP Financial Consultants Ltd. He                 helped set up a boutique debt broking and mid cap                   focused equity broking firm styled as Dil Vikas Finance                 Ltd.  

 

 

He then spent time in various consulting assignments and had a brief stint in the                             mutual fund industry as CIO and CEO of First India Mutual Fund. He is a regular                               columnist for Moneylife and also for Deccan Chronicle. He claims to be an                         Investment Analyst. 

   

  Mr. Varun Gupta Director - Ashiana Housing  

Varun is the Whole Time Director of the company and has                     been associated with Ashiana Housing since 2008. He               spends most of his time in finding new projects to start,                     including identifying & acquiring land, associating with joint               development partners and planning long term strategies for               the company. He has played a key role in bringing the new                       concept of Kid Centric Homes to Ashiana Housing with the                   aim to foster the "right mahaul" for progressive learning &                   development of kids.  

 

He has been researching on this concept for more than two years and working on the                               right processes to encourage kids learning, meeting various expert & much more.                       Varun has a Bachelor's degree from Stern School of Business, New York University                         (USA). He majored in Finance and Management and graduated with the high                       academic distinction of 'Magna Cum Laude' and is an alumnus of Harvard Business                         School.  

  Mr. Gaurav Sud,   Managing Partner at Kanav Capital Advisors 

 Gaurav is a Managing Partner at Kanav Capital Advisors,                 which provides Corporate Advisory and IR Services. Gaurav               is a BTech from IIT Delhi and a completed his MBA from IIM                         Calcutta. He started his career with KPMG Corporate               Finance and since then has worked at Wipro BPO, Keane                   Consulting and WNS Global Services. He been an active                 investor over the last 2 decades and focuses on special                   situations, value investing and arbitrage strategies. 

 

 

     

Mr. Jigar Shah   

Fund Manager, Banyan Tree Advisors Pvt. Ltd. 

Jigar Shah is a Fund manager and co-promoter of Banyan                   Tree Advisors Pvt. Ltd (a SEBI registered PMS firm, with                   AUM of Rs. 1,980 crores across 1260 clients as on Sep.                     2019).  Jigar is a CFA Charterholder and CA. His work responsibilities include researching high quality companies with a moat, training analysts, improving research processes, educating clients and supporting in building scalable processes for the firm.  

 

He has always lived in Mumbai. He loves learning and reading books on Investing, Marketing, History and Biographies. He is passionate about books as they are a great source of knowledge and has a library in office which he likes to share with friends and clients. He loves playing cricket and travelling. He is married to Deesha and they have two children..    Mr. Raunak Onkar Head - Research  

He heads the Research department at PPFAS Mutual Fund. His prior assignments include being a Research Analyst at PPFAS. He started his career at PPFAS as part of his internship during MBA.
