• How do we get to Rhetoric?– Four fundamental ways we relate to text

• Rhetorical Framework– You must establish a dialectic between what you conclude is

the meaning/purpose/effort of the text and how you perceive it’s parts, working together to achieve those ends.

– Read Albert Beveridge Trumpets Imperialism Page 184 and complete the rhetorical framework for the piece.
