agenda

The Three Wise Men

This is the biggest children festival. Remembering the arrival of these characters that are looking for Jesus to worship him, the Three Wise Men reward children with toys and candies. They arrive perfectly dressed to all cities the 5th of January. In Oliva, families leave large baskets next to the window or in the balcony with something tasty to be eaten by the Three Wise Men and their pages and camels. And, after receiving them, each child looks for his or her presents or, in some families, they wait till the next morning, the 6th of January, in order to see what Their Majesties have left them; but, if somebody behaves badly, they can find at their homes a piece of charcoal instead of presents.

5th of January

10th, 11th, 12th January

Inauguration: on Friday evening. On Saturday, traditional boilers of Sant Antoni will be elaborated, cooked by the people of Sant Vicent Ferrer Festival and people in the neighbourhood. From Friday to Sunday their will be entertainment in the streets, games for kids and food and crafts stalls.

And all these activities will be located in the beautiful neighbourhood “Raval-Gerrería”. Its steep and narrow streets, which are inherited from the ancient inhabitants, will transform the walk in a pleasant experience and will move us to the past years of the Arabic culture

“Porrat de Sant Antoni”, boliers and medieval market
