To approve order approving the reorganization of the Tax Accounting Section ofthe Tax Assessor-Collector's Office by adding two (2) professional accountant/supervisors and deleting a grade C accountant and a secretary, and requesting thePersonnel/Civil Service Department to evaluate the two (2) new positions and theTax Accounting Manager position to determine appropriate grades.

25. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving electronic acceptance of the Local Law EnforcementBlock Grant to the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, inthe amount of $1,401,171 with a County match of $155,686, and authorizingthe County Judge to sign all related documentation.

26. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the acceptance of funds in the amount of $100,000for DIVERT Court and $200,000 for technological upgrades in both hardware andsoftware from the Dallas Police Department through the City of DalJas- as part ofthe Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program award to the Dallas PoliceDepartment, and authorizing the County Judge to sign the Interlocal Agreementwith the City of Dallas and all related documents.

To approve order approving a three-month benefits consulting contract with Willisto provide continuity in benefits consulting during the selection process for a newconsultant, and authorizing the County Judge to sign said contract on behalf ofDallas County.

To approve order approving an addendum to the pharmacy benefits contract withExpress Scripts, Inc. to make the Vision Savings Program benefits available toCounty employees and their dependents, and authorizing the County Judge tosign said addendum to the contract on behalf of Dallas County.

To approve order approving the submission of a Letter of Intent to theTelecommunications Infrastructure Fund (TIF) Board for the submission of anapplication for Non-competitive Grant for Not-for-Profit Hospitals and Clinics, andauthorizing the County Judge to sign said Letter of Intent on behalf of DallasCounty.

31. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the Town of Sunnyvale to utilize the County'sAnnual Contract for Pagers and Pager Service, Bid No. 97-213, for the periodfrom August 1, 1999 through July 31, 2000, and authorizing the County Judgeto execute the Interlocal Agreement with the Town of Sunnyvale for usage ofsaid contract.

32. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the cancellation of Bid No. 2000-050-271 (AnnualContract for Electrical Supplies), due to the lack of adequate responses received,and authorizing the Purchasing Department to re-solicit proposals for this serviceat a later date.

To approve order authorizing the sole source purchase of DNA testing suppliesfrom Perkin Elmer Corporation, effective December 21, 1999 through December20, 2000, at an estimated annual cost of $50,000.00.
