Transportation Advisory Services (T AS ) Report Highlights & Recommendations Profile Data • 2,499 student enrollment K-12 • 180 students transported to 17 non-public schools • 7 students transported to 2 out-of-District Special Education facilities • Fleet maintained, serviced, an d fueled at an on-site facility • Secured parking provided Methodology • TAS requested and received background information from the District • T AS representative visited the district on November 11 h & 12th to conduct meetings. • T AS Representative surveyed building principals for their perspectives of the operation. Purpose of the Study • To provide the Dist rict with a third-party perspective on the operating efficiency an d management options of the current program. Profile Data • TAS representative reported: • The NWISD was willing to be open an d cooperative in the review of District transportati on services . • Everyone involved was extremely cooperative an d provided everyth ng requested. Methodology • T AS representative met with: • Business Administrator • Assistant Business Administrator • Superintendent • Transportat ion Supervisor • Head Mechanic • Drivers • Athletic Director • Director of Special Education • Board Members
