In FY 2016, OMB took steps to institutionalize a new procedure that allows for the agency to track and respond to requests for expedited processing. In prior fiscal years, OMB maintained a "first-in" and "first out'' FO!A processing system. With the new process now in place, OMB is tracking and responding to expedited requests for the first time in FY 2017 and will begin reporting that data in that year's annual report.
