Development Center, a non-profit organization. Morning Haus is endorsed by,
and receive funding from, the Venango County Mental Health/Mental
Retardation Administration.
If you or someone you know is a mental health consumer who needs or wants a
place to socialize, where you can feel a sense of belonging, and in a supportive
setting, or if you are just curious to find out more about who we are then stop
by and see us at Morning Haus or call us at 677-4759. We are located at

Has your business or organization recently launched a new or improved
website? If you have, please let the Chamber know so that we can share it
with the membership.
Customers now expect businesses and organizations to have a Web site,
one that can, at the very least, supply basic information and a means of
getting in contact. A Web site has become nearly as essential as a
telephone or fax machine or printed brochure.
But apart from fulfilling the public's expectations, a Web site will also help
your business increase profits. Increasingly, people search the Web rather
than the phone book when looking for a service or product. If they don't
find your business represented, they will find your competitors.
And, increasingly businesses are establishing a presence in social media.
The Chamber can help you get started, but if you’ve already set up an
account on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace or other networks, please allow us to share and build your online
network.

Mercer Raceway Park presents exciting wheel-to-wheel auto
racing excitement and quality family entertainment Saturday
nights late March through early October. Mercer Raceway Park
is the region’s most famous 3/8-mile dirt bullring and is the only
Saturday night track in the nation featuring Sprint Cars,
Modifieds, and Late Models on a weekly basis! Other weekly
divisions include the Mod Lites, Stock Cars, and Mini Stocks.
This year marks the 58th
anniversary racing season at the historic
facility, which is the former site of the Mercer County fair dating
back to the 1800s.
Regular admission is just $11 for adults and $25 for families,
which includes mom, dad, and up to four kids ages 6-15. Kids 6-
15 are $5 and kids five and under are free. Parking is always
free! Mercer Raceway Park offers a wide selection of affordably-
priced concession items and quality souvenirs.
Mercer Raceway Park is known far and wide for its signature family pass and has been recognized nationally for
its quality promotions. One such promotion is the upcoming $10 Family Night on Saturday, August 8 where
mom, dad, and as many kids 15 and under can enjoy a full night of racing for just $10! On this night, fans will
have the ability to come onto the speedway to gather autographs from all the racers and see their race cars up
close and personal.
Mercer Raceway Park was the industry innovator of free county nights. On May 30, all residents of Venango
County were admitted free! Fans from all across the county turned out in droves and not only set a Venango
County record for turnout, but for all surrounding county nights as well as the free Ohio night. Thank you
Venango County! Fans that missed this great night will have to watch for next year’s May 2010 event.
Gates open at 4:30 and there is always excitement and fun for
the kids in the midway before warm-ups begin at 6:15 and
racing at 7.
Mercer Raceway Park is just a short drive from Venango County
located right off of Routes 19 and 62 at 555 Fairground Road in
Mercer. For more information, check out our website at
www.mercerracewaypark.com or call 724-964-9300 during the
week or 724-662-1310 on race night.

“Building a Future for Venango Area Business!”
The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce has selected the Venango Regional Airport as the 2009 Business of the Year.
This annual honor is awarded to a local business that meets several criteria in recent years, including the ability to overcome adversity, marketing achievements, expansion or quality improvements and commitment to the community.
Established in 1946, and operated by the County of Venango since 1959, the airport provides Essential Air Service as part of a Federal program offering daily air service through Continental Connection from Venango Regional Airport to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport -- connecting to over 60 destinations world-wide.
The airport was named Commercial Service Airport of the Year for 2006 in the FAA’s Eastern Region.
Chamber director Susan Williams notes “Air travel continues to be an important attraction to businesses. The Venango Regional Airport and its staff have remained committed to delivering the best possible service even through challenging circumstances.”
Citing the hard work and efforts of many airport staff, airport manager O.C. Bell concludes, “The Airport owes its success to its customers and employees past and present, and this would not have been possible without the vision and years of effort by the previous manager, Mr. Alan Penksa. We work hard each day to build upon the foundations established over the years while trying to keep current with today’s aviation environment.”
