    journals and edited volumes. Published over hundred topical articles in national and internationalnewspapers and periodicals including online academic publications. Edited four research journals.Articles and presentations accepted in international conferences as well. International reviewer ininternational research journals. Organised national and international conferences.

    Completed UGC project on Cooperation and Conflict in South Asia: An Analysis in the

    Gandhian Framework.

    Supervising research at various levels in M.A.; M.Phil. and Ph.D. not only in University ofJammu but also in other institutions. Launched quite a few innovative courses at M.A. and M.Phil.levels.

    Main areas of interest and research within the larger fold of international politics are peaceand conflict studies including conflict management, conflict resolution and conflict transformation;human security; world order studies; Indian foreign policy; South Asia and South Asian Associationfor Regional Cooperation (SAARC); United States foreign policy; contemporary global problems;

    political philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and its relevance to concurrent national, international andglobal perspectives; quest for a new political, economic and educational order; Indian Constitution;and Western political thought.

    Different methods of teaching used from time to time such as Interactive method, Lecture

    method, Power Point slides, Internet videos, field work etc.

    Studied at Delhi and University of Delhi, Delhi. Also obtained post-graduate Diploma in

    Course Director of Twenty-one days Interdisciplinary social sciencerefresher course of ASC, Jammu University organised at the Department ofPolitical Science from 06 26 March 2012.

    One national and one international seminar organised on 21 - 22 and 27 28February 2012 respectively at University of Jammu.

    One field trip of about 10 teachers and faculty and 60 postgraduate studentsand researchers to Border areas of Poonch and Rajouri organised from 14 17March 2012.

    Participated and presented research paper in Australia-India InstituteInternational Seminar on Emerging India, 5-6 December 2011 at CalcuttaUniversity, Kolkata.

    Organised two international workshops in January and May 2011 withProfessor Paul Buneo from Peace Centre, Rhode Island University, United States;and with Ms Lydia from US Education Foundation.

    Launching soon a three months certificate course on Gandhian Corporateand Business Ethics at the Gandhian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies,University of Jammu, Jammu in 2011-2012 academic session.

    Organise every year 10 to 20 academic outreach activities at local, nationaland international level.

    Publishing Gandhi Ganga research and activities journal of the GandhianCentre, University of Jammu.

    Invited as Guest of Honour for special Lecture at Meerut University on theoccasion of release of the Indian Journal of Political Science Association inDecember 2008.

    Organised an International Conference in April 2009 in collaboration withMcMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on the theme of ParticipatoryDemocracy and Foreign Policy sponsored by DAFIT Canada.

    The proposed post of a Reader / Assistant Director / Associate Professor hasalso been sanctioned by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in favour of theGandhian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at Jammu University which alsostands approved in the 2008 meeting of the Council of the University of Jammu,Jammu.

    Degree imparting full Gandhian Studies Department is soon likely to beestablished at University of Jammu from 2013 onwards.

    Introducing Post Graduate Diploma in Gandhian Philosophy and ConflictResolution through distance education -- stands approved in principle by theAcademic Council of University of Jammu proposed by the Gandhian Centre forPeace and Conflict Studies at Jammu University (likely to be launched from 2013

    2014 academic session soon).

    Organised one week long International Workshop on Displaced Persons atGandhian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Jammu, Jammuwith 12 participants from University of Tuft and University of Boston, UnitedStates and 1 from United Nations alongwith 10 participants from national and J&Kmedia and academic community (workshop was held from 08 Aug 17 Aug 2007.

    Attended about 03 international seminars / conferences; 15 national seminars /conferences at Bombay, Delhi, Jammu. Presented 10 research papers at suchseminars / conferences.

    Output as Research Supervisor: Five Ph.Ds and ten M.Phils awarded. Five Ph.Ds are being

    Outreach Activities and Interaction with Civil Society: Engaged in about ten to twenty such
