introductionIn 250 years from now dead is not anymore the end. Because, ‘what is the end?’. In this project we will define and research the imaginative capabilities of the human body and mind. In which we search to what happens after death. Because the story does not end there, we will continue in a new perspective with new ideas about the concept of afterlife and re using focussed on our definitions of how the future will look like according to our research. In this story we will follow two persons. Both decide to choose their own way facing death. Both are very different from each other but do relate as well. The choices we choose to explore are focussed (1) the re-creation of the body for society and (2) the re birth of of and individual in a digital world.

‘hey sis! I just received the letter of Afterlife about what to do when I die. It’s a though question to ans-wer. I might get more money if I choose for the Afterlife programme. I’m dead then, so I actually don’t care what happens with my body after’.

After work... ‘hey Aaron. It’s youre decision. I can’t say it but it would be awful to think about you working as a zombie in that horrible slave city... The money makes it more appealing. But still...’

‘I heard horrible stories about the conditions in the factories. Once there was a guy who saw his wife as a zombie slave working there. That is awful! Don’t do it’.

‘No! The money is usefull and can be used when you’re still living. It’s about what you do as living and not when youre dead’.

‘It’s good to see that economies can excist on non cognitive creatures. It’s all made by people who died and don’t have a consiousness’.

Tomorrowland; is one of the parallel economies of the world. Isolated from the living and society. The living people call it ‘the black islands’.

everything is checked and organized that nobody could enter, the place is maintained by computers

Page 15: Afterlife

the bodies will be checked and re-used with cyborg technology and chips to control the body.

Essential vitamins and food pills will be provided each day. the computer sends them to the ‘needs Room’ .

Page 16: Afterlife

the zombie-cyborgs need rest as well . In one small hour the body will vitalize to afterwards continue working.

closure of the story(epilogue)

After she received a pair of shoes which were made in ‘‘tomorrowland’’ she was conscious that they are apart from each other and he is working whole day without his soul. But its only his body that remains and works as a cyborg. Because humans are cheaper than robots. They only need small chips and vitamins to work. So his soul is gone he is just a robot... Yet it is still difficult to think about him... She is

still wondering which choice to make after death.

Will the future be like this? Can we use the human body to re activate it after death? Can death become the start instead of an end? How will our society react

to that?

Will Sybia follow Aarons path’s and will they meet each other in afterlife? You can read it in the next chapter...

closure of the story(epilogue)

Sooner or later you will be dead but it is up to you what you will choose. Future will provide us with endless opportunities and choices so your decision will be important but hard. It will have immense consequences for what happens when you

are not there anymore.

In the future you can be digital. It’s already starting to exist. You have already a second life in the digital world. Will it stay there forever even if you are dead?

Can we control that? And how much can we show of our life after death?
