Chimney Cleaning

It had been years since we even used our fireplace, for a variety of reasons. We saw the Angie's List deal and
decided to get it looked at and cleaned up. The service person, John, arrived on time and went to work. I
mentioned to him about a "whoosing" noise whenever we used it (which had been a while). He suggested
some new sand, rocks and a gas line...all for the cost of $75 (in addition to the $99 Angie's List deal for the
service). Since the stuff we had in there was so pitiful, and he said it would make a big difference, we agreed.
Boy, did it make a difference. When he was done, there was no "whoosing", only a quite flame. He
rearranged the logs the way they're supposed to be and it all looked great! Would highly recommend them
and we'll use them again (although it may be a while).

I solicited 3 bids from highly rated companies on AngiesList. Miquel Muniz from M & T Concrete (214-354-8879) arrived as scheduled and gave me by far the best estimate in all respects versus the competition including thickness (4.5" versus 4"), pressure (3500 PSI versus 3000, and could have gotten 4000 PSI for $400 more) and bed preparation (2" of pack sand versus "as required") and cost ($5400 versus as high as $7500) or approximately $5 per square foot. I don't normally go with the lowest bidder but in this case it was a no-brainer. The job took 2.5 days and went exactly as scheduled. Not only did the job exceed expectations, they actually completed some extra work that I had requested be tacked on and didn't charge any extra (note I supplied all the PVC pipe, fittings and drain materials for this work). I can't say enough good things about Miquel and M&T Concrete. They provided outstanding professional service in all respects

I found a curb painting company that services our neighborhood in Richardson. They came by two days ago to
paint a reflective curb addresses in front of my house so that emergency vehicles can locate my home if need
be. Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure Richardson wants this done anyways. Long story short, I
called them and they did mine for only $20! Can't beat that deal! Also they were out within 2 hours to do the
job. They left me an invoice when done with payment instructions. I also believe they set up appointments
too. The did such a good job I tipped them ten bucks. It's rare you find curb painting companies that actually
have an awesome website, consistent phone number, and The guy actually carries general contractor
