Learn new and exciting art techniques; work with a variety of high quality art mediums, including: watercolor pencils, acrylic and tempera paints, chalk and oil pastels and more! Learn historical art facts about famous female artists and the cultures they thrived in, via a fun and engaging presentation. Explore the art of blending colors and the importance of the color wheel, while discovering the art of Helen Frankenthaler.Helen Frankenthaler. Create collage with relief sculptures and the beauty of a monochromatic painting, as we consider the life and work of Louise Nevelson. Express the idea of family though creating a memory quilt in the style of Faith Ringgold. Design patterns through the use of oil pastel as we become inspired by the wonderful work of Mary Cassatt. This session is full of exploration, discovery and creativity. Get ready for fun and discover the fantastic lives of the Queens of Art! And, as always, Queens of Art! And, as always, Dress for Mess!
