Tropical Storm Maria, which formed on Wednesday (Sept 7th ) is forecast to pass north
of Puerto Rico on Sept. 11 and continue moving
towards the eastern USA, possibly drenching Florida
A tropical storm watch is in effect for Antigua, Anguilla,
Barbuda, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique,
Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saba, St Barthelemy, St Marteen, St Maartin, and
St. Eustatius
SEPTEMBER 8:At present, we have 3 named
storms. 1) Hurricane Katia will continue to move north
between Bermuda and North Carolina, but will not threaten
land.
SEPTEMBER 8 (continued):
2) Tropical Storm Maria will approach the Caribbean by the weekend, and 3)Tropical Storm
Nate will affect the southwestern portion of the
Gulf of Mexico
SEPTEMBER 11:Tropical Storm Maria passes
north of the Virgin Islands with possibility of becoming a
hurricane by Sept 14
