The proposai submitted to the Transition Fund by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation is based on the Government's economic and social agenda to implement far-reaching reforms to transform the country's development modal. As part of these reforms the proposed programme will focus primarily on improved governance, enhanced human capital development and doser social and regional inclusion. The aim of the programme is ta develop a critical mass of leadership capacity at the decision-making level of Tunisian organizations and society in arder ta lead the way to long-term institutional effectiveness at a national level. The AfDB is pleased and ready to support Tunisia in this programme, which is complementary to our engagement strategy for the country and will contribute to implement Tunisia's transition to a new economic paradigm post revolution. It is closely aligned with the AfOB's priorities for Tunisia which focus on strengthening governance and promoting econom ic tra nsformation. The proposai has followed the Bank's normal policies and procedures in terms of project preparation and the Bank's project document is attached.
