Why South Africa? South Africa - the ‘rainbow’ nation, rich in diversity and natural beauty, is in the midst of profound change.
Shaking off the legacy of apartheid, South Africa is re-inventing itself.
Led by a new generation of social entrepreneurs and extraordinary partnership programmes across government, business and the community, a new country is emerging.
It is a country filled with a sense of hope and confidence that by working together, its people can overcome the challenges they face.
South Africa will provide you with both insight and inspiration.
The six-day tour includes:
A programme of talks, seminars and group discussions
Visits to exemplary community and business regeneration programmes in Johannesburg and Soweto
Two nights accommodation and activities at a bush lodge near The Cradle of Mankind (World Heritage site)
Traditional and contemporary cultural and entertainment programme

Arrival and evening reception
Understanding the local context and future potential of South Africa (includes visit to the Apartheid Museum)
Community innovation, start-ups, business development and Government support
Sustainable development of talent, effective communication and role of telecoms and the media in promoting social change
Building effective partnerships and financing opportunities, working with corporations and overcoming obstacles to finance/investment
Future plans and close
Participant fees include working lunch, evening dinner and a cultural entertainment programme. They also cover two nights accommodation at a bush lodge.
We will provide attendees with recommendations of accommodation near the Gordon Institute of Business Science (University of Pretoria) for the other nights.
Care will be taken to ensure ample space for participants to pursue their own areas of interest.
We aim to provide participants with an authentic South African cultural experience.
