The „fingies“ core unit includes an Arduino Yún. A Microcontroller Board with Wireless LAN and a Linux System. We added a battery powered custom-build smart board with Nd super magnets.

A set of printed circuit cards is used to attach different sensors and actors to the „fingies“ platform.
!The electronic contact is established with the super magnets

The „fingies“ reads the sensor input and transmits it to the output card or via the Internet to other devices.

It is then possible to send sensor data to different „fingies“, smartphones, computers, … via the Internet

Now you can start to play with different Inputs and Outputs

You can use „fingies“ for: !! - playful experience / art & design installations ! - educational purposes (e.g. test your own printed circuits) ! - rapid prototyping for Internet of Things applications ! - developing Embedded or Hybrid System Prototypes ! - and many other things that we are currently investigating
„fingies“ are developed at the Interface Design Group // Bauhaus-Universität Weimar by: Johannes Deich, Jens Geelhaar, Michael Markert, Gabriel Rausch, Martin Schied !The circuits were printed on the cards at Fraunhofer ENAS in Chemnitz by: Jens Hammerschmidt (Baumann Group)
