Results of 2005 Enablis SA Fund I

• Loan Guarantee Fund.

• Investors: Canada (50%), South Africa (40%), Bank (10%).

• $9.5 Million in approved loans.

• Average loan is $100,000 to an SME with less than $200,000 in turn-over.

• Cash on deposit, 90-day quick claims to the Bank.

• Royalties direct from SME’s, instead of a fee from the Bank.

• Pricing: Prime + 1-3% to the Bank & 6-8% to the Fund.

• 30% + exits already on invested capital.

• IRR of 5.1%.

• NPL’s 2.6%.

Conclusion

• There is great potential to scale micro-financeto the enterprise level as SME lending is profitable;

• We use the same micro-finance principles in our successful SME lending model;

• An investment is required to create deal flow and sustainable SME’s as high as 0.5:1;

• Financing for 10-20% of our entrepreneurs is all that is required;

• SME’s have fantastic job creation capabilities.
