THE DESIGNWhen designing the evolved crest, it was important to retain key elements, including the shape of the original shield. Our new single shield design will allow easier and better use across marketing and retail items.

HERITAGEOur heritage is at the heart of every decision we make at the club. It was vital that we retained the iconic Dickie Dowsett header, as it’s symbolises our clubs ongoing progression.

The evolved crest now features our famous black stripes. We’re proud that we’re the only club with black and red stripes in the football league. And to show off our club’s prestige and ambition our name has now been cemented in gold.

THE EVOLVED CREST IS A SYMBOL OF OUR PRESTIGE AND ASPIRATIONS. IT WAS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT TO RESPECT THE HERITAGE OF THE CLUB DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS. HERE’S TO THE SEASON AHEAD.

2013/14 SEASONThe current crest will still be in circulation whilst the evolved crest is introduced in stages. New retail items, signage, club branded items etc. will be updated throughout the season. There will be no new playing and replica kit this season.
