Directions for Use AFC-505 HFO Power can be injected by means of a volu- metric pump or mixed in tank. Dosage The recommended dosage rate for AFC-505 HFO Power is 1:5000 (1 litre additive for 5000 litres fuel). The appropriate dosage will be determined by our Technical Services Team after full consideration of plant conditions. Handling AFC-505 HFO Power should be handled in the same way as diesel oil. The storage stability is 24 months in closed container. Safety and First Aid Always consult the AXI Fuel Conditioning Safety Data Sheet for safety information before using the product. Packages 242 kg drum 1210 kg IBC Benefits Removes existing hard ash deposits of vanadium and sodium and inhibits the formation of new corrosive deposits Reduces high and low temperature corrosion Reduces the formation of SO. 3 Improves combustion, reducing soot and particulate emissions Stabilizes and disperses asphaltenes Stabilizes cracked heavy fuel components and heavy fuel blends Recovers oil from the sediment which normally is destructed and treated as waste Unique in providing the catalytic combustion of fuel mixtures with asphaltene dispersions and stabilization Maintains industrial engine efficiency and operational economy. Extends industrial engine operational periods The product functions as a powerful dispersant Removes and prevents deposits in the fuel delivery system AFC-505 HFO (08/12) AFC-505 HFO Power Corrosive Ash Modifier and Inhibitor, and Combustion Catalyst AFC-505 HFO Power a concentrated additive for heavy or residual grade Fuel Oil which is burned in industrial engines. The product, which is primarily a combustion ash modifier and combustion catalyst, disperses readily when mixed with HFO. It is effective in the reduction and suppression of high-temperature corrosion and unburned carbon combustion deposits. It also neutralizes low temperature corrosion in burner end-zones. AFC-505 HFO Power reduces both the amount and also the reactive tendency of the corrosive, metallic, ash-forming fuel components.
