The professional pilot degree option prepares students with the flight skills and classroom knowledge necessary to be successful in the aviation industry. Authorized by the FAA as a Part 141 institution, OSU graduates students ready to fly in private industry, work as a certified flight instructors, or succeed in non-commercial flight jobs as they build towards their 1000 hours needed to fly commercially. Admission into the Professional Pilot study option requires a supplemental application and is limited to 75 new students per academic year. Admission is fall only. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Students complete certified flight instructor training as a part of their degree program, opening more job opportunities to them upon graduation. OSU enjoys a partnership with Envoy’s cadet program, allowing students to earn benefits and build seniority while completing their degree. Our program is accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI).
