Robert J. Stein Institute of Forensic Medicine, located at 2121 West Harrison

Street in Chicago, illinois. The facility has two-surface parking lots, the West

parking lot is for employees and the East lot is for visitors to the facilities.

Currently there are not any access controls for the East surface parking lot at the

North gt South entry and exit points. This causes a problem for visitors and/or the

public seeking to conduct business with the County due to the fact that parldng is

at a premium in that area, with people conducting unrelated business elsewhere

are using this facilities open parking lot to park their vehicle and leaving nowhere

for the patrons using the facility to park, or left circling the block until they have

finished conducting their business.

The'equest from the user group is to the provide access controls for this lot, that

includes the key pad, wireless access from secretary to the point of entry with

voice and video. This will help alleviate the parking problem.
