Submitted by: Kholia Chajiinamei Zoya Matin B.ARCH Vth SEM ASAP, AUR
INTRODUCTION
• Developed in Sweden combining Wood and concrete.• Is a Green Building material with benefits like high
strength to weight ratio, high thermal and sound insulation.
• Easy workability, Low carbon footprint during application and manufacturing etc is said to revolutionize the construction industry in India.
How is it made?
• Lime (8-10%), Gypsum(4-5%), Fly Ash(60%), Cement(25%), Aluminium(0.08%)
• Release of CO2• Saves Steel(15-18%) • No seepage problem• 1 m3 bricks = 1 to 1half bag cement; 1 m3 AAC bricks = half bag cement
FEATURES• Fast and Easy Construction
Big & Accurate sizeLightweight
Excellent Workability
• Energy Efficient & comfortable livingHigh Thermal Insulation
Good Sound Absorption
• Safe LivingFire ResistantHigh Earthquake resistanceWater BarrierPest Resistant
GREEN BUILDING MATERIAL• Least consumption of energy• Utilization of waste materials• Reduction of fuel and CO2 emissions• Reduction of green house gas
emissions and air conditioning requirements
