PAY SCALES, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, ETC.

1. Professor in Mechanical Engineering: (Rs.37400-67000) (Grade Pay Rs.10000)(i) Essential: (1) A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of

Engineering, & Technology , and experience of ten years in teaching, research and / or industry, out of which atleast five years at the level of Assistant Professor Reader or equivalent grade.

OR(ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: (1) First

Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering, & Technology ; (2) Significant professional workwhich can be recognized* as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering, & Technology,and industrial /professional experience of ten years, out of which at least five years at a senior level of AssistantProfessor / Reader, Provided that the recognition for significant professional shall be valid only if the same isrecommended unanimously by a 3-Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of theUniversity.

(iii) Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:(1) Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; (2) Published work,such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books, and / or technical reports; (3) Experience of guidingthe project work / dissertation of PG / Research Students or supervising R&D projects in industry; (4)Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and / or professionalactivities; and (5) Capacity to undertake / lead sponsored R&D, consultancy and related activities.

2. Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering ( Electronics / Power System / Signal Processing) / AppliedSciences (Physics ): (Rs. 37400-67000) (Grade Pay Rs. 9000) (i) Essential : A Ph.D. Degree with First Class atBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering, & Technology and experience of eightyears in teaching, research and / or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding period spenton obtaining the research degree. OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, thefollowing shall constitute as essential: (1) First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering.& Technology; (2) Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. degree inappropriate branch of Engineering, & Technology and industrial / professional experience of eight years in aposition equivalent to the level of Lecturer. Provided that the recognition for significant professional shall be validonly if the same is recommended unanimously by a 3-Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University. 3. Associate Professor in Music ( Tabla ): (Rs. 37400-67000) (Grade Pay Rs. 9000); (i) Good academic record withdoctoral degree, with performing ability of high professional standard (ii) Eight years of experience of teaching atthe University, College level and/or research in University/national level institutions excluding the period spent forobtaining the research degree (iii) Has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the subject concerned,as evidenced by quality of publications. (iv) Contribution to educational innovation such as designing of newcourses, curricula and/or outstanding performing achievement in the field of specialization. OR A traditional and aprofessional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should beor have: (a) ‘A’ grade artist of AIR/TV; (b) Eight years of outstanding performing achievements in the field ofspecialization; (c) Experience in designing of new courses and /or curricula; (d) Participation inSeminars/Conferences in reputed institutions; and (e) Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subjectconcerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.

4. Assistant Professor in English; Hindi; Sanskrit; Home Science ( Human Development ); Drawing & Painting,Applied Business Economics; Accountancy & Law; Botany; Zoology; Mathematics; Chemistry; Economics;Psychology; Sociology, and Political Science (Rs. 15600-39100) (Grade Pay Rs. 6000) Good academic recordwith at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E& F at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from aforeign university. NET mandatory (Vide note no. 5). Desirable : A Doctoral degree in relevant subject.

5. Assistant Professor in Education; Assistant Professor in Education ( English; Music; Science; Sanskrit; Home Science; History and Psychology Education with knowledge of Information Technology; (Rs. 15600-39100)(Grade Pay Rs. 6000) Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from anIndian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.

NET mandatory (Vide note No. 5).Desirable : Master’s degree in Education and Doctoral degree in the relevant subject with good academic recordwith at least 55% marks or equivalent at the Master’s level. OR Doctoral degree in Education and the Master’sdegree in the relevant subject with good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent at the Master’slevel.

6. Assistant Professor in Physics & Computer Science (Rs.15600-39100) (Grade Pay Rs.6000); (a) GoodAcademic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with lettergrades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University or anequivalent degree from a foreign University.NET mandatory (Vide note no.5). ORBachelor’s and Master’s degree in relevant engineering subject with at least first class at Bachelor’s/Master’slevel.Desirable: A Doctoral degree in relevant subject.

7. Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; (Rs.15600-39100) (Grade Pay Rs.6000);(i) First class master’s degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology, (ii) Without prejudice to theabove, the following conditions may be considered desirable: (1) Teaching, research industrial and/orprofessional experience in a reputed organization. (2) Papers presented at conferences and / or in refereed

journals.

8. Assistant Professor in Management: (Rs.15600-39100) (Grade Pay Rs.6000)(i) Essential: (1) First Class Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevantmanagement related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU /

accredited by the AICTE / UGC; OR(2) First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant /Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies.

(ii) Desirable: (1) Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; (2)Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals.

9. For D.E.I Technical College :

(i) Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering; (Rs.15600-39100) (Grade Pay Rs. 6600); (a) Degree with55% marks in respective discipline of Engineering or Technology OR AMIE (India). (b) Eight year’sprofessional or teaching experience out of which 5 years must be on the post of lecturer. Two yearsrelaxation in experience for ME/M.Tech. Degree holders. (c) Knowledge of Hindi.

Note: (i) Where basic degree in concerned discipline is not awarded or where candidates having such degreeare not available basic bachelors degree with respective subject as elective or Special subject shall be

considered. (ii) Experience of Govt. Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings OR Limited organisatiosnonly will be acceptable and will be counted after the candidate has attained the prescribed educationalqualification.

Desirable:Research work in the concerned subject and a Master’s degree in relevant engineering subject.

For Internal candidates who were in the service of the DEI Techincal College prior to 01.07.1986.(a) Essential Qualifications: Good academic record and first or high second class Bachelor’s degree in

Engineering/Technology with atleast 55% plus marks. OR AMIE (India) with atleast 55% plus marks or equivalentqualification. OR Master’s degree in Engineering.

(b) 8 years professional/educational experience for the holders of BE/B.Tech./B.Sc. Engg./ AMIE qualification. Six yearsprofessional/educational experience fot the holders of ME/M.Sc. Engineering qualification.

(c) Knowledge of Hindi.

Desirable qualifications: (a) Industrial experience on a responsible position. (b) Knowledge of Instructional Technology.

For Internal candidates who were in the service of DEI Technical College as on 04.03.1983.TTTI Diploma with Diploma in Engineering in relevant subject with atleast 45% marks and with at least 10 years teaching orprofessional experience.

(ii) Lecturer in Automobile Engineering; (Rs.15600-39100) (Grade Pay Rs.5400); (a) Degree with 55%marks in respective discipline of Engineering / Technology OR AMIE. (b) Knowledge of Hindi.

Note:(i) Where basic degree in concerned discipline is not awarded or where candidates having such degree are

not available basic bachelors degree with respective subject shall be effective or special subject shall beconsidered.

(ii) Experience of Govt. Institution, Public Sector Undertakings or Limited Organisations only will beacceptable and will be counted after the candidate has attained the prescribed educational qualification.

Desirable :(i) Master’s degree in respective discipline with 55% marks or equivalent.(ii) One years Industrial experience.

Note: Experience of Govt. Institutions, Public Sector undertaking or Limited organisations only will beacceptable.

For internal candidates who were in the service of the DEI Technical College on 04.03.1983. TTTI Diploma with Diploma inEngineering in relevant subject with atleast 45% marks and with 2 years teaching/professional experience.

10. Teaching Assistant in Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering (Rs.1000/- fixed forGraduates OR Rs.1100/- fixed for Post-graduates): Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant Engineeringsubject.

NOTE:

1) Prescribed application forms and particulars of pay scales, qualifications, experience etc. can be obtained fromthe office of the REGISTRAR of the Institute on payment of Rs.50/- each ( Rs.25/- for reserved posts) for the postsmentioned under sections (A) above and Rs.30/- each ( Rs.15/- for reserved posts) for those under sections (B) above, at the Institute counter or by post by sending a self addres sed and stamped envelope of size 22x10 cms.with postal stamps of Rs.10/- for ordinary post or Rs.27/- for Registered post. However, the qualifications for theinternal candidates of this Institute may vary and these are notified internally.

2) Applications complete in all respects along with enclosures and registration fee of Rs.75/- each ( Rs.37.50 for

reserved posts) for posts mentioned under sections (A) above and Rs.30/- each ( Rs.15/- for reserved posts) forthose under sections (B) above must reach the Registrar of the Institute latest by 05.02.2011 (Saturday) .Separate application shall be submitted for each post.

3) All payments must be made either in cash at the Institute counter or by bank draft in favour of DAYALBAGHEDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE payable at Agra.

4) For the post of Associate Professors, applicants are required (as per UGC Regulations, 2010) to send four copieseach of their three major publications of which one could be a book or research report , for theassessment by the expert members and for the consideration of the Screening/Selection Committees together.

5) NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment ofAssistant Professor in the Institute. Provided however , that candidates who are or have been awarded aPh.D. degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedurefor award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum

eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor orequivalent positions in the Institute”.

6) (a) A relaxation of 5% of marks (from 55% to 50%) may be provided at the Graduation level for theSC/ST/Physically and visually handicapped persons, in appointment as Assistant Professor s. (b) A relaxation of 5% of marks (from 55% to 50%) may be provided to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passedtheir Master’s Degree prior to 19 th September, 1991, and also to such candidates who have cleared the JRFExamination conducted by UGC/CSIR only prior to 1989 when the minimum marks required to appear for JRFexamination were 50%.

7) Candidates are called for interview on the recommendations of the Screening Committee of theInstitute and as such all applicants may not be called for interview. No TA and DA shall be admissiblefor attending the interview.

8) The Institute reserves the right to fill, to fill on temporary basis, or not to fill any of the posts, without giving anyreason whatsoever. The Institute may also give appointment as Guest / Part -time teachers as per UGCGuidelines. The number of posts may vary depending on exigencies.

9) The Institute reserves the right to alter/modify any condition at any stage.
