ADVISORY PERIODMS. ANA LUISA MARTINEZ
Welcome to our Advisory. This is a time to think a little, laugh a little, get to know
each other, reflect and plan for a successful year.
ADVISORY
• Advisory periods are an opportunity for us as teachers to get to know a small group of students in a different setting. It is a time to dialogue with kids, and can often lead to great discussions about their lives, issues and situations (friendship, adolescence, organization, service, respect).
• A number of periods have been programmed (assemblies, guest speakers, flag ceremonies), however there are some periods where the lesson is a spring board to relationship building, the overall goal of the program.
