Reddit, if you could give one piece of advice to your first-day-of-highschool self, what would it be?


Wear a helmet because your friend will accidentally hit you in the head with the locker door.


"Stop trying to get into 'serious relationships.' Just have fun, relationships can wait."


It really doesn't matter what other people think of you...


Don't fall in love with everyone that acknowledges your existence


Relax, be yourself and know that this is the first day of a whole lot of first days you will experience.


Don't mess up your year and actually TRY!!


You don't have to be the smartest. It's ok to not know things - this being school and all.


Go to your full potential. Do not get lazy. You will seriously regret not doing this once you’re in gr. 12.


Not everyone is judging you as hard as you think.


Make two best friends. You will always have two perspectives on all your problems and someone to hang out with if the other is busy.


I would join as many clubs/sports/activities that you can handle. You will meet a lot of great people in doing so and make high school a much more enjoyable experience.
