    The Food Corporation of India (FCI), one of the largest Public Sector Undertakings,

    dealing with foodgrain supply-chain management, intends to recruit ManagementTrainees/ Manager Hindi for manning posts in its depots and offices spread all over theNorth Zone. Online / Offline applications are invited from Indian Nationals whofulfill the prescribed qualifications, age etc. for the posts indicated below:-

    vice-versa preferably of technical or scientific literature.

    Five years experience of teaching/research writing or journalism in Hindi

    Desirable:-

    (i) Knowledge of Sanskrit or a modern India Language.

    (ii) Administrative experience.(iii) Experience of organizing Hindi Classes or workshop for noting and drafting.

    RESERVATION AND RELAXATIONS:

    The prescribed qualifications, experience and the age limit shall be reckoned ason 00.00.2013. The maximum age limit can be relaxed by 5 years in case ofSC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.

    There will not be any upper age limit in case of departmental employees.

    The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years for PH candidates, 15 years for PHcandidates belonging to SC/ST and 13 yrs for PH candidates belonging to OBC-

    NCL. Age is additionally relaxable by 5 years for those applicants who had ordinarily

    been domiciled in the Kashmir Division in the State of Jammu and Kashmirduring the period 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989. Any applicant intending to availthe relaxation under this category shall have to submit a certificate from theDistrict Magistrate in Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction she/he hadordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. ofJammu & Kashmir to the effect that she/he had ordinarily been domiciled in theKashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01-01-80 to 31-12-89.

    The aforesaid reservation is not applicable to OBC candidates falling within thecreamy layer.

    The selection process will be consisting of written test, group discussion (GD) andinterview.The written test will comprise of 150 multiple choice question of general aptitudeconsisting of Reasoning, Data Analysis, Computer Awareness, General Awareness,Management and Current Affairs for the post of Management Trainees(General/Depot/Accounts./Movt./ Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) and Manager (Hindi); andof

    (i) 150 multiple choice questions on General Accounting and Finance for candidatesapplying for MT (Accounts) OR(ii) 150 multiple choice questions on Civil Engg./Mech. Engg. and Elect. Engg. forcandidates applying for MT (Civil Engg./Mech. Engg. and Elect. Engg)(iii) 150 multiple choice questions on Hindi..

    The common paper (test) for MT(General/Depot/Accounts./Movt./Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) will be followed by thespecial paper for MT (Accounts/ Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engg.) or Manager (Hindi).The written test will be conducted in Hindi/English.Candidates willing to apply for posts other than General/Depot/Movt. can only applyfor either Accounts or Civil or Electrical or Mechanical or Hindi. Allotment of the postwill be made on the merit cum option for post/posts given by the candidates in theapplication form. The candidate once allotted a post will cease to appear in any otherposts or any wait list. However a candidate can be placed in all the waiting lists ofposts applied for, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria and merit cum option.

    The Admit Card for the written test can be downloaded from the websitehttp://specialtest.in/fci 15 days prior to the date of examination onwards. The admitcard will also be sent by post. Intimation about shortlisted candidates for GD &interview will be put on Web site within tentatively a month from the date of written

    test. The minimum cut off marks for short listing after written test is 50% for UR and45% for OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates. Candidates will be called for interview & GD in theratio of1:5. Based on the merit obtained in the written test, interview & GD, a panel ofselected candidates will be formed from amongst those found eligible. A candidate hasto appear in all the phases of the recruitment process, so as to be eligible forselection. The candidates are advised to keep in touch through the Web site.

    GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTION:

    All the posts carry IDA pattern pay scales and usual allowances such as fringebenefits, HRA, Leave Travel facilities etc. These scales carry DA on percentage

    basis. Gross emoluments would vary depending upon place of posting. Management Trainee will undergo training for six months. Only stipend will be

    paid to them at the rate of Rs 8500/-pm during the training period. They shallalso be eligible for reimbursement of Train/Bus fare as per the rules. Dailyallowance is admissible for visits to field office and/or other offices duringtraining. They shall not be reimbursed any lodging charges separately. They willbe considered for absorption after successful completion of training and placedin regular IDA scale of pay scale of Rs.16400-40500.

    For Manager (Hindi) on qualifying the written test and interview eligiblecandidates will be appointed as Manager (Hindi).

    The selected candidates for the post of Management Trainees will have to sign abond for Rs.1, 00, 000/-(Rs. One lakh only) for serving the Corporation for aminimum period of three years after completion of their training.

    Employees of the Central/State Govt./Public Sector Undertakings should applyoffline or online, take a printout of filled form, attach the No Objection Certificate

    from their employer along with other essential enclosures and send it to theaddress mentioned in the website so as to reach within the stipulated time.

    Mere submission of application and fulfilling the eligibility conditions gives noright to any person for appearing in written test etc.

    Filling up of these vacancies is subject to the outcome of any litigation affectingthe recruitment process.

    No correspondence will be entertained about the outcome of the application, at

    any stage. All appointments will be subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Corporation

    in-force from time to time. Other benefits like CPF, Gratuity, Leave TravelConcessions, Leave Encashment, Medical reimbursement,etc., shall be applicable as per the rules of the Corporation as amended fromtime to time.

    The candidates on selection to North Zone may be posted in any State withinthe jurisdiction of North Zone as Category II is a Zonal cadre post. However theyare also liable to be posted anywhere in the country in the interest of theorganization.

    They will be posted in North zone on completion of training. The seniority of theabsorbed trainees will be maintained in North zones in the respective cadre.

    No TA will be provided for the written test. However candidates will be given IIndclass Rail fare or ordinary bus fare to and fro by the shortest route, subject toproduction of railway ticket/bus ticket for attending the interview & GD

    Candidate must ensure to have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria, viz., age &qualification as on 00.00.2013. Candidates should satisfy themselves that theyfulfill the required qualification, age etc., before applying for the post. In case itis found that the information furnished by a candidate is defective in anymanner or has been deliberately suppressed, the candidature will be summarilyrejected as and when it comes to the notice of the Management. The candidatesare advised to satisfy themselves fully about the correctness of the informationfurnished: the candidature would be rejected if found ineligible at any stage.

    Candidates, who fulfill all the eligibility criteria, will be issued offer ofappointment as per merit list and as per vacancies.

    No other Qualification other than expressly mentioned in the QualificationCriteria would be accepted.

    Issue of admit card for the written test & calling for interview & GD does notconfer any right of acceptance of candidature and should not be construed as anacknowledgement of fulfilling the eligibility criterion.

    Self attested Photostat copies of documents for proof of age/qualifications/caste

    etc. should be attached with the application, without which the candidaturewould be rejected. Original certificates will, however, be scrutinized / verified atthe time of interview/GD.

    Management reserves the right to conduct additional examination/skill test orcall for any additional documentary evidence in support of educationalqualification & experience of the applicant.

    Care should be exercised by the Departmental candidates to send theirapplication form as generated by the system or as per Proforma, with requireddocuments and No Objection Certificate from respective competent authority soas to reach within the stipulated date.

    Any attempt to influence the Corporation in any manner would result indisqualification and rejection of candidature immediately.

    Appointment of empanelled candidates will be subject to their being foundmedically fit and the verification of character, antecedents and caste, whereverapplicable.

    HOW TO APPLY: To apply follow the steps given below:

    1. Candidates have to submit the requisite fee through Demand Draft/Power Jyoti

    Scheme of State Bank of India (citing the reference No.) ofRs.300/- (Rupees Threehundred only) made through a bank, drawn in favour of Food Corporation of India,payable at Noida for North Zone. No other mode of payment would be accepted.The date of issue of demand draft should not be before 00.00.2013 and should bevalid for six months. Fees will not be returned/adjusted against future exams inany case.

    2. Candidates applying for the post of Management Trainee (AccountsCivil/Electrical/Mechanical Engg.) in addition to the post of Management Trainees(Depot & Movt.) are required to register separately for both options on the onlineapplication portal and submit two separate Fee of Rs.300/- each.

    3. SC/ST/PH and Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees, subject tosubmission of Caste/Disability Certificate from Appropriate Authority in support ofhis/her claim.

    4. Application can be made in either online or offline mode only. Thecandidates have to fill all the details online, then take a print out of filled form, affixphoto & put signatures at designated places & then send the form along with Fee &photocopies of certificates to the Post Box Number as given on website by ordinarypost.

    5. Candidates are advised to make the requisite Fee before going for registration inthe online portal.

    6. The online application window can be accessed athttp://specialtest.in/fci from

    00.00.2013 to 00.00.2013. Printout of application with required documents shouldreach the designated post box by 00.00.2013. For candidates residing in far flungareas, the last date for submission of application in the designated post box is00.00.2011.
