Welcome to Adventure Alpacas Retirement Auction Sale

After 20 years of raising and loving our alpacas, our adventure is coming to an end.

As one of the pioneers of the Canadian alpaca industry, we have spent the last twodecades improving the quality of our alpaca herd through selective breeding. Our goalhas been to produce sound, functional, productive alpacas with fine, lustrous, topquality fibre that we turn into magnificent end products. We have strived to select andbreed for traits that result in top quality breeding stock. All alpacas in the sale areCLAA and ARI registered.

We have been vigilant in selecting and breeding females who are easy birthing, havestrong mothering instincts and produce an abundance of milk. We are offering anoutstanding lineup of bred and yearling females - 13 of the 15 pairs of bred femaleshave female cria at side. All bred females have been ultra-sounded to confirmpregnancy; all the alpacas have been veterinary inspected and BVD tested.

Our males have been selected for their excellent conformation, superior fibre andgenetic diversity. In an effort to produce quality breeding stock, we have bred ourfemales to genetically superior studs, most of which are held exclusive or have verylimited outside breedings. Eclipse BAR and Adventure's Baywatch have offspring inthe sale; Adventure's Andre began his breeding career this spring; Adventure's Diegoand Adventure's Nophalt are young up and coming herdsires.

Our "Reference Herdsires" - Hummingherd's Rum Runner, RGA Miguel, Eclipse BAR,Adventure's Baywatch, Mojo BAR and Acero Marka's Centauso offer unique outcrossgenetics which can be used with confidence in any breeding program. All of ourherdsires have had successful show careers as well as being proven quality breeders.Each sire has won awards and ribbons and their offspring continue to receive highrecognition with supreme & reseve championships and multiple ribbons in both halterand fleece shows.

Hereinafter, Adventure Alpacas will be refered to as “The Seller.”

1. All representations contained herein are made by the seller only.

2. Neither the auctioneer or any agents make any representations or warranties whatsoeverwith respect to the sale alpacas.

3. The sale and all transactions between the Buyer and the Seller will be governed by the lawsof the Province of Alberta.

4. The highest bidder is to be the Buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders,the alpaca in dispute shall immediately be put up again for advance bids. If there is no advance,the alpaca shall go to the person whom the auctioneer recognized as having the last bid. Theauctioneers decisions shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.Bidding will be carried out in Canadian Dollars.

5. All information listed under “seller notes” is supplied solely by “The Seller.”

6. When an alpaca is sold, the Buyer shall sign the “Acknowledgement of Purchase” form.Title passes when a buyer signs the acknowledgement at which time all risk and responsibilityfor the alpaca passes to the Buyer.

7. All alpacas have been veterinary inspected prior to the sale. All pregnant females have beenultra-sounded to confirm pregnancy. Breeding dates and due dates are recorded as performedand given for your information only and are not guaranteed.

8. Terms of the Sale are cash and payment in full must be made to the cashier immediatelyafter the sale. Valid personal checks will be accepted with proper identification.

9. If any person shall purchase a lot and not pay for it as described above, the Auctioneerand/or the Seller shall have the right to resell the lot or, at their option, bring action for thespecific performance, in which event the buyer agrees to pay all costs of such suit andreasonable attorney’s fees. In the event of resale, the defaulting Buyer agrees to pay all cost ofresale plus price deficiency.

10. Every effort has been made to assure correctness of this catalogue. Any known correctionsshall be announced at the sale.

11. Statements made from the Auctioneers Box shall take precedence over any and allstatements made in the catalogue.

15. All registration certificates will be withheld by “The Seller” until all checks clear the bank.At such time they, along with the transfer fees will be sent to the appropriate registry. “TheSeller” pays all transfer fees.

16. Buyers planning to board their purchases with “The Seller” until a later date, must makearrangements with “The Seller.” All alpacas must be removed from the sale site by 8 p.m.September 18, 2010.
