The advantages and disadvantages of living in a city

Nowadays the people think the city life is better than village life. First, living in a big

city is very convenient. However there are so many advantages and disadvantages in city life

and village life. Actually the city life is more comfortable then the village life.

In city has modern facilities and very good services.This make people more

enjoyable and exciting.For example, There are large shop complex, banks, offices, cinemas,

hostels, clubs, hospitals in and around the city. People in the city have better transport

facilities than the village. There is electricity, highway, communication, telecommunication,

plumb facilities in the city. So people can lead a comfortable and enjoyable life in the city.So

people can go to one of the many shopping complexes or hypermarkets. People in city can go

window shopping if they feel bored.For fun they can also watch a movie in a cinema with

their friend's .This will make them happy and enjoyable. If live in village people cannot get

this kind of entertaiment in village life.

In terms of pursuing higher education, school-leavers in the city have a variety of

universities and colleges to choose from. However, in village there might just be one primary

school while some none.The village school badly managed with poor facilities unlike the

ones in the city.Of course, in city outstation students also can stay in the hostel or rent rooms

but most of the college or universities in city provied place for the students like

hotel.Somemore, they can attend there the best universities and use the best learning

resources which will allow them to develop their knowledge and skills much better. Good

educational background increases their chances to find employment in good companies

which will offer them lucrative posts. People who are ambitious and want to be successful

and pursue their careers find in the city many possibilities to realize their potential and to gain

the best professional experience.

Furthermore, a big city has more opportunities to find a good job with high salary

because there are large number of companies, corporations, businesses in the city.They can

work in either the private or the public sector. People in the city and they have more

opportunities for making money. Promotion prospects and salaries are definitely much better

than in the countryside.This means that poeple in the city enjoys better living stardards than

those in the village side. They can afford better and bigger cars, bigger houses and overseas

trips.Poeple living in the village usually miss these luxuries life.

The transportation is easily accessible in the city such as bus, LRT, commuter and

taxi. A bus and coach station is located in all over the city area. A train station with service to

other parts of the country is also in the city. Buses travel throughout the city centre with good

condition of public transport people can go any way and any time with

Although living in the city has many advantages there are some disadvantages too.

The cost of living is very high in the city. In city life the cost of living is very high in the city.

Most goods are very expensive so the people in city have to make extra money for more

comfortable life in city. Somemore the goods are very expensive for that we have to work

more, some time don’t have time to spend with family. .

The disadvantages the environment is polluted with dust, smoke, garbage and dioxide

gases from factories because of public transport so much in city there is no fresh air and pure

water in city. Traffic conditions in village are betters then the city because transports in

village few compare with city it will make people in city never obey the rules .This make

more acidents in city.

People in city are tired with the hectic and stressful city life and often decide to move

from the city. Village life, although more quiet and peaceful, then city life. Some time they

feel missing peacefulness and tranquillity in village life.

In city,traffic jam is most killing probelm because of the lot of transports in city area

it makes stuggle with traffic jam every day it worst when school holidays start.The people in

city,they spent lot of for traffic jam but in village no traffic jam so no tension and no tired.

Some are, to avoid traffic jam wakeup early and move early from house.

In conclusion, Whether one would prefer to live in the city or the village life depends

a lot on one’s personality and interests.My interests can only be served in city life.Iam a city

person and I also not mind to visiting the village during holidays but not for premanently stay

there.
