ADVANCED TRAINING POSITION IN MUSCULOSKELETAL IMAGING 2016

A one year advanced training position in Musculoskeletal Imaging is

being offered by MIA Radiology commencing in February 2016. The

position is based in the Departments of Medical Imaging at Victoria

House and Mercy Private Hospital. The position is structured to provide a

mixture of fellowship-type training in Musculoskeletal Imaging (three days

per week) and experience working as a general diagnostic radiologist in clinic and private hospital

settings (two days per week.)

As the position is mixed MSK training and clinical work the successful applicant will need to be

qualified and able to work as a diagnostic radiologist in Victoria in 2016.

The musculoskeletal imaging will be composed of MSK MRI at Victoria House and Mercy

Hospital, and MSK ultrasound at Victoria House. Victoria House has a busy diagnostic and

therapeutic (ultrasound-guided injections) MSK service with highly experienced radiologists

subspecialised in this area.

Victoria House is an imaging centre in Prahran catering to a large outpatient orthopaedic and

sports medicine referral base including many elite professional athletes. Mercy Hospital provides

specialist neuro & MSK imaging with an emphasis on MSK and a sub interest in hand and wrist

imaging.
