VIEW)3. quality not quantity4. Sunday-Wednesday (only a couple of schools will be observed)5. Observations: student behavior, what learning is taking place6. We will get commendations and improvement priorities

The date for the external review visit is March 20-23.

*All of our work (school and district) must be completed at least 4 weeks before the review.

What IS REQUIRED:

1. Know the standards:

• PURPOSE AND DIRECTION ( What is our mission and where are we go-ing?)

• GOVERNANCE AND LEADERSHIP (Administration, Board, District Of-fice)

• TEACHING AND ASSESSING FOR LEARNING

• RESOURCE UTILIZATION

• USING RESULTS FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

2. Use the ELEOT observation tool to align what students are doing to effective learning practices.

3. Make plans to attend faculty meeting after school on September

STRATEGIC PLAN

1. This is required every 5 years.

2. The areas of the plan are similar to AdvancEd but not exactly the same.

3. There will be school and district committees to determine where we are, needs assessment, 5 year goals for improvement, action plan, and resources

4. The components of the plan are as follows:

• MISSION, VISION, VALUES, BELIEFS

• COMPREHENSIVE NEEDS ASSESSMENT

• PERFORMANCE GOALS

• ACTION PLAN

*Everyone will be assigned to a committee and is required to partici-pate.

*We will begin working on the plans during the September 23 faculty meeting.
