CIMT stands for Carotid Intima Media Thickness and refers to the thickness of the inner two layers (intima and media) of the carotid artery, which lies in the neck.

the CIMT measurement is obtained automatically and the results are available as soon as the scanning procedure is completed.

In general, the test will take about 10-15 minutes of the participant’s time to complete. It is not required to disrobe and the procedure is well tolerated.

The test is only $99 and includes all services and the board certified physician read.

The test is reimbursable under some Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts as well as certain supplementary insurances such as AFLAC. Some insurance plans with wellness benefits will cover this test.

You may file a claim with your insurance or we can file it for you for an administrative fee. There is no guarantee of coverage eligibility.
