Prof. Megha SharmaProgramme Director & Associate ProfessorOperations Management

Prof. Megha Sharma has a PhD from IIM Ahmedabad. A process improvement and sustainability enthusiast, she has about 10 years of experience in teaching, executive training, business consulting and research. Her areas of interest include Business Process Improvement, Project Management, Statistics for Data Analytics and Supply Chain Network Design. Her research work has been published in several leading national and international journals. Prof. Sharma has been actively involved in academia-industry interaction through executive training, programme design and delivery, and consulting. She has led and taught in several executive training programmes targeted at professionals at different career levels, including senior managers, CXOs, and bureaucrats.

Prof. Sudhakara Reddy is currently Assistant Professor in the Finance and Control group of IIM Calcutta. He was a visiting scholar at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University. His teaching interests are in the area of Corporate Finance, Financial Derivatives, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management. His current areas of research are Market Microstructure, Corporate finance with an emphasis on corporate governance mechanisms, Initial Public Offerings and primary capital markets, etc. He has conducted several MDP programmes for reputed companies and trained several faculty members in the area of research in financial economics and research methods. He has won research awards from reputed institutes as well as the Best Faculty award from IBS Alumni Federation.

Capstone Project

Advanced Programme in Strategic Project Management

The capstone project provides participants with the opportunity to apply the learnings from the programme to a comprehensive case study. In a virtual case study motivated by real-world projects, participants apply learnings from all modules to successfully implement the project from conception to completion. The capstone project would require participants to work on their own for about 18 hours, divided over three sub-modules. At the end of each sub-module, the participants will turn-in their work for discussion and consultation with faculty members.

In this single-player simulation, students take on the role of a senior project manager and manage a team tasked with developing a new product for an electronics manufacturing company. The primary objectives are to execute a project plan successfully, combat challenges, and deliver a competitive product on time and on budget.

Integrated Project Delivery at Autodesk, Inc. by Amy C. Edmondson & Faaiza Rashid

In 2008, Autodesk, Inc,. decided to engage in Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) for the design and construction of its new headquarters. This case study describes Autodesk's engagement in the IPD—a new model of risk management, inter-firm teamwork, and multi-objective optimisation in building projects.

EVALUATIONThere will be periodic evaluations built-in throughout the duration of the programme. These may be in the form of written tests, online exam, quizzes, projects or other objective/ subjective assessments, which might be conducted on Sunday mornings.
