AP Equity & Excellence ReportMultiple research studies have confirmed the following benefits for AP students who achieve scores of 3 or higher on an AP Exam.
1. Students perform well in subsequent college courses in the discipline.
2. Students are more likely to major in their AP subject or a related discipline, particularly in STEM subjects.
3. Students take more — not less —college course work in the discipline.
4. Students are more likely to graduate within four years.

Percentage of MCHS seniors who successfully earned a score of 3 or higher on an AP exam during high school is currently 67%.

1-year growth (2018→ 2019): -0.9%
4-year growth (2015 → 2019): +7.7%
Since 2010 (data inception): +18.4%

MCHS students taking an AP exam increased by almost 600 students from 2017 to 2018, and an additional 100 from 2018 and 2019.
