Advanced Bone Grafting Course Details This will be a total immersion program for the intermediate level implant practitioner who wants to expand the scope of his

or her practice. For the advanced practitioner, this course will provide valuable tips to reduce time and cost to manage

complex clinical situations.

Course Objectives

1. To review surgical and regional anatomy of the oro facial region pertinent to implant dentistry

2. To teach lateral approach sinus grafting procedures with simple and predictable instrumentation.

3. Utilization of grafts and techniques to get a compact ll will be reviewed.

4. The use of membranes to manage perforations will be taught.

5. Placement of implants in edentulous areas of the maxilla and mandible

6. Management of atrophy through ridge expansion will be taught

7. To teach horizontal augmentation with allogenic blocks

8. Immediate placement of dental implants after extraction

9. Socket grafting procedures with membranes

10. Train participants to harvest connective tissue grafts and free gingival grafts

Outcomes

At the end of the course the participants will be able to:

1. Perform lateral approach sinus grafts with rotary instrumentation

2. Repair sinus perforations with membranes

3. Get predictable height and fill with sinus grafts

4. Place implants through ridge expansion and bone manipulation

5. Prepare receptor sites and affix allogenic blocks in atrophic areas to gain horizontal width.

6. Learn soft tissue manipulation to obtain closure and manage muco gingival defects.

7. Perform immediate implant placement after extracting teeth atrumatically

8. Obtain sub epithelial connective tissue grafts and harvest free gingival grafts for muco-gingival defects.
