Welcome to Central Georgia Technical College’s Adult Education Center.
The faculty and staff are so glad you have chosen our center to
continue your education. We offer a variety of opportunities for
adults who wish to learn basic skills, prepare for the GED exam,
learn English, improve English, or obtain citizenship.

TOOLS FOR EVALUATION
To evaluate your academic needs, a locator and a placement assessment will be given prior to enrolling in classes.
There is “NO” cost for the tests, classes, or books.
Remember, all of the staff and volunteers are here to assist you in meeting your short and long-term goals.
LAYING DOWN THE FOUNDATION• Come to the center prepared to study and learn.• Dress appropriately. Remember our dress code. We are
preparing you to enter the professional work force.• Be on time for class and remember to sign in daily. • Bring pencil and paper. We will provide all other
materials such as books, calculators, and computers.• Use materials and books for your reference, however,
please “DO NOT WRITE IN THE BOOKS OR TAKE THEM FROM THE CLASSROOM OR THE COMPUTER LAB”
• Plan to be in class the entire class period. If you leave the campus, you can not return until the next day or class session.
