Adult Education at Christ Church is primarily about our Christian formation and spiritual growth through study, refl ection, and discussion. With other believers and seekers, we use the gifts of faith and reason in seeking a deeper knowledge of God in our own lives, as encountered in the Risen Christ.
The Sunday Forum, now being off ered in its third decade, is complemented by many opportunities for exploration and learning including the Inquirer’s Class, Women’s Bible Study, the Men’s Ministry Group, Seasonal Series, Quiet Mornings, and Contemplative Life.
For more information, visit our website:www.christchurchgeorgetown.org.
2020–2021The coming of COVID-19 this past March meant that the Sunday Forum, along with everything else, was interrupted in mid-fl ight.
In putting together the course for the 2020–2021 program year, we thus decided to complete the intended Spring series, Navigating the Modern Wilderness, from September through November.
We will then devote the rest of this unusual year to a variety of subjects including seasonal off erings, questions raised by COVID-19, the pastoral offi ces, the ethical imagination, Islam, and two lectures by Christ Church clergy.
With the situation around gathering still uncertain, the plan is to have in-person Sunday Forums if feasible, but also to provide the lectures online by webinar. Th us, everyone will have the choice to attend in person or to view online.
