Cool Time 3 is the third book in a three-level series forteenage students of English written to help students learn Englishthrough experience, reflection and practice, in situations related totheir interests and needs. The book is divided into five units. Each unitis divided into two sections (A and B) and has 6 lessons.

Each lesson includes an activity that will give students the opportunity to be exposed to the language they are going to learn, experience it, construct meaning, reflect and discover how it works. Later, through different types of controlled and freer practice activities, students will have the chance to try the language and use it for their own purposes.

On the following pages, in the section called Learn about your book, you will find detailed information about the different sections included in the book and their features.

Your support and guidance while students work on the different sections of the book will be very important in order to help them make use of their textbook.

There are five units in your book. Each unit is divided into two sections (a and b). At the beginning of each section you will find a Title Page, which includes the purpose and contents of that section, the language to be learned, and examples of this language.

The LessonsEach unit is divided into 6 lessons. Eachpage in the lesson includes a variety ofactivities which will help you learnEnglish in a dynamic, interesting, andclear way.Whenever a grammar structure ispresented, there is a Figure It Out section wich helps you work out the rules by yourself through a self-discovery process. Some lessons also include Cool Tips boxes, which give you additional help with grammar rules in aclear way. The Cool Expressions boxes give you the opportunityto focus your attention on colloquial expressions to include in your everyday conversations. A section is also included at the end of every lesson. It includes an oral activity to interact with other classmates and practice the language presented in that lesson in a natural way.Next to some writing activities, there isa portfolio icon , which means thatyou will be able to keep samples of yourwritten work during the year, in a specialplace, to check your progress. In some lessons there are some boxesmarked to highlight the mostimportant functions you will learn inyour book.
