Dishwasher detergent is corrosive ! Take care to keep it outof reach of children.

To remove hard water spots, try the following: Run dishes throug h a normal wash program. Remove all metal dishware, such as cutle ry, pans, etc.,

from the dishwasher. Do not add detergent.

Pour two cups of vinega r into a bowl and set the bowl faceup on the lower rack of the dishwasher.

Run the dishes throug h a normal wash program. If this doesn 't work, try the same proc ess with 1 / 4 cup ofcitric acid crystals instead of vinegar.

Use only detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers.Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Don't put powder detergentinto the dispenser until You're ready to wash dishes.

The dispenser must be refill ed before the start of each wash cycle following the instruc tions provided in the" Wash CycleTable".Your dishwashers than conventional dishwashers. Generally, only one tablespoon ofdetergent is needed for a normal wash load. Also, more heavily soiled items need more detergent. Always add the detergen t justbefore starting dishwasher, otherwise it could get damp and will not dissolve properly.

use less detergent and rinse aid

To open the dispens er, turn the cap to the "open" (left)arrow and lift it out.Pour the rinse aid into the dispens er, being careful not to

overfill.Replac e the cap by inserting it aligned with "open" arrowand turning it to the closed (right) arrow.

A measured amount of rinse aid is released during the final rinse. As with detergent , the amountof rinse aid needed for your dishes depends on the hardness of the water in your area. Too muchrinse aid can result in lathe r of foaming and cause cloudiness or steaks on your dishes. If thewater in your area is very soft, you may not need rinse aid. If you do,you can dilute the rinse aidwith an equal amount of water. The rinse aid dispens er has four settings. Always start with the dispenser set on " 1 ". If spots andpoor drying are problems, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed by removing the dispenserlid and rotating the dial to "2". If the dishes still are not drying properly or are spotte d, adjust the

dial to the next higher number until you r dishes are spot-fr ee. We sugges t you to set on "3" .

The rinse aid is releas ed during the final rinse to prevent waterfrom forming drople ts on your dishe s that can leave spots andstreaks. It also improves drying by allowing water to "sheet" offthe dishes.

Your dishwash ers are designed to use liquid rinse aids. Therinse aid dispenser is located inside the door next to thedeterg ent dispenser . To fill the dispenser, open the cap andpour the rinse aid into the dispen ser until the level indicato rturns completely black. The volume of the rinse aid conta iner isabout 140ml.

Be careful not to overfill the dispenser, because this couldcause oversudsing. Wipe away any spills with a damp cloth.Don't forget to replace the cap before y ou close the dishwasher

door.If you have soft water, you may not need r inse aid for it maycause a white film to develop on your dishes.

The upper rack is desig ned to hold more delica te and lighter dishware such as glasses, coffee and tea cup and saucers, as wellas plates, small bowls and shallow pans(as long as they are not too dirty).Position the dishes and cookwar e so that they do not get moved by the spray of water. The upper rack can be adjusted for height by putting wheels of d ifferent height into the rails.

We recommend that you place large items which are most difficult to clean into the lower rack: pots, pans, lids, serv ing dishes and bowls, as shown in the figure to the right. It is preferab le to place serving dishes and lids on the side of the racks in order to avoid blocking the rota tion of thetop spray arm.

Pots, serving bowls, etc, must always be placed top down.

Coarse filterLarger it ems, such as pieces of bone or glass, that could clog the drain are trapped in thecoarse filter. To remove an item caught in this filter, gently squeeze the tabs on top of thisfilter and lift it out.

For your convenience, we have placed the drain pump and filtering system within easy reach inside the tub. There are threecomponents of the filtering system: the main filter, the coarse filter, and the fine filter.

    2

Fine filterThis filte r holds soil and food residue in the sump area and prevents it from beingredeposited on the dishes during a cycle.

Main filterFood and soil particles trapped by this filter are pulverized by a special jet on the lower sprayarm and washed down the drain.

    1

    3

Never run the dishwasher without the filters i n place.

Filter assemblyFor best performance and results, the filter assembly must be cleaned. The filter efficiently removes food particles from the wash water, allowing it to berecirculated during the cycl e. For this reason, it is a good idea to remove t he largerfood particles trapped in the filter after each wash cycle by rinsing the semicircular

filter and cup under running water. To remove the filter assembly, pull on the cuphandle in the upward direction. The entir e filter assembly should be cleanedonce a week.To clean the coarse filter and the fi ne filter, use a cleaning brush. Then, reassemblethe filter parts as shown in the figures left and reinsert the entire assembly in thedishwasher, positioning in its seat and pressin g downward. The dishwasher must never be used without the filters. Improper replacement of thefilter may reduce the performance level of the appliance and damage dishes and utensils.

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during the winter, ask a service technician to:

Cut off electrical power to the dishwasher.

Turn off the water supply and disconnect the waterinlet pipe from the water valve.

Drain water from the inlet and water valve.pipe

(Use a pan to catch the water.)

Never use a spray cleaner to clean the door panel for it could damage the door lock and electrical components. It is not allowedto use the abrasive agent or some paper towel becauseof the risk of scratching or leaving spots on the stainless steel surf ace.

To clean the edge around the door, you should use only a soft warm, damp rag. To preven tpenetration of water into the door lock and electrical componen ts, do not use a spray cleanerof any kind. Also, never use abrasive cleaners or scour ing pads on the outer surfaces because they willscratch the finish. Some papers towels can also scratch or leave marks on the surface.

After every wash, turn off the water supply to theappliance and leave the door slightly ajar so thatmoisture and odors are not trapped inside.

Before cleaning or performin g maintenance, alwaysremove the plug from the socket. Do not run risks.

To clean the exterior and rubber parts of the dishwasher,do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products.Rather, use only a cloth and warm soapy water. To remove spots or stains from the surface of theinterior, use a cloth dampened with water and a littlewhite vinegar, or a cleaning product made specificallyfor dishwashers.

When you go on holiday, it is recommened tha t you run awash cycle with the dishwasher empty an d then removethe plug from the socket, turn off the water supply and

leave the door of the appliance slightly ajar. This will helpthe seals last longer and prevent odors from formingwithin the appliance.

If the applian ce must be moved, try to keep it in the verticalposition. If absolutely necessary, it can be position ed onits back.

One of the factors that cause odors to form in thedishwasher is food that remains trapped in the seals.Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge will prevent thisfrom occurring.

After making sure that the voltage and the frequency values for the current in the homecorrespond to those on the rating plate and that the electrical system is sized for themaximum voltage on the rating plate, insert the plug into an electrica l socket which isearthed properly. If the electr ical socket to which the appliance must be connected is notappropriate for the , replace the socket, rather than using a adaptors or the like asthey could cause overheating and burns.

    plug

Please see the rating lable to know the rating voltage and connect the dishwasher to appropriate power supply,Use required fuse12 amp. Fused electrical supply is required-copper wir e only. Time delay fuse or circuit breaker recommended and provideseparate circuit serving only this appliance. Outlet should be placed in adjacent cabinet .

Connect the cold water supply hose to a threaded 3/4(inch) connector and make sure that it isfastened tightly in place. If the water pipes are new or have not been used for an exten ded period of time, let the waterrun to make sure that the water is clear and free of impuri ties . If this precaution is not taken, there is a risk that the water inlet can get blocked and damage the appliance.

The water supply to the appliance can also be connected to the house hot water line(cent rali zed system, heating system),as long as it does not exceed a temperature of 60 C.In this case, the wash cycle time will be shortened by about 15 minutes and the washefficiency slightly reduced. The connect ion must be made to the hot water line following the same proced ures as thosefor the connection to the cold water line.

    DIMENSIONS(mm)

Position the appliance in the desired location . The back should rest agains t the wall behind it, and the sides, along the adjacentcabine ts or wall. The dishwasher is equipped with water supply and drain hoses that can be positioned to the right or the left tofacilitate proper installat ion.

If the sink is 1000 higher from the floor, the excess water in hoses cannotbe drained directly into the sink. It will be necessary to drain excesswater from hoses into a bowl or suitable container that is held outside and lowerthan the sink.

Inser t the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 40 mm, or let it run into the sink, making sure to avoid bendingor crimping it. Use the special plasti c support that comes with the appliance . The free end of the hose must be at a heigh tbetween 400 and 1000mm and must not be immersed in water.
