GOOD MORNING!

Good morning my dear friends,

Today we are going to teach you as a teacher, and you all are going to be our students!

THE PROPERTIES

• The properties panel display the properties of the select tool. The common properties are stroke color, fill color, stroke style.

STROKE COLOR

• It is an outline of an object. stroke means a thin line. For Example:The outline.

= this is called the stroke color

FILL COLOR• It is a color filled inside an object. For example:-

Color inside the object.

• It is the style of a stroke

RECTANGLE TOOL

Rectangle tool is used to draw rectangular shape

For e.g.:

To form this basic geometrical shape:Click the rectangle tool in the tools panel.Bring the mouse pointer(+) on the stage and drag diagonally to draw a rectangle that spans between the start and end point.A rectangle with selected outline (stroke) color and fill color will appear on the stage.

OVAL TOOL

The Oval tool is used to make circular objects

DRAWING AN OVAL

• In the tool panel, change the rectangle tool to an oval tool by clicking on the tiny downward arrow on the rectangle tool and then selecting the oval tool.

DRAWING AN OVAL(CONTINUED…)

• Use the Oval Tool to draw an oval shape on the Stage. Your cursor will change to "+". Start at the upper left corner and drag a small oval on the stage. The Properties panel can be used to exactly set the dimensions.• The oval drawn on the stage looks as shown below with

the Properties panel on the right.• The final flash movie of the oval appears as shown below:

CHANGING TEXT ALIGNMENT

• Set the alignment of the text in the text area. The options are: Align text lines to the top, middle, bottom or justified (distributed along the vertical space of the text area)

THE PENCIL TOOL

• It is used in much the same way as you would use a real pencil to draw on a piece of paper.

PAINT BUCKET TOOL

• This tool fills the enclosed area with selected color.• It can be used to fill empty shapes or to change the color

of already painted area.• Using this tool, you can fill solid colors, gradients and

bitmaps.

HOW TO USE THE PAINT BUCKET TOOL

• To use the paint bucket tool, you need to follow these steps:

• First select the paint bucket tool from the tools panels.

• Then select a fill color and style.

• After that click the gap size modifier and select a gap size option to close the gaps automatically.

• Finally click in the closed area or shape to fill the selected color.

ERASER TOOL

• This tool can be used to erase the part or whole object from the stage area.• It can also be used to erase only fills or strokes while

leaving the other components unaffected.

HOW TO USE THE ERASER TOOL

• To use the eraser tool, you need to follow these steps:• First select the eraser tool from the tools panel.• Then click the eraser mode modifier and select the

erasing mode.• After that change the eraser shape or size if needed.• Finally drag on the object to be erased.

WHAT IS LINE TOOL?

LINE TOOL IS IN THE DRAWING TOOL IS USED TO DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE SEGMENT AT A TIME.

•To draw a line

CLICK ON LINE TOOL IN THE TOOL PANEL

SELECT THE LINE COLOUR ,ITS THICKNESS AND STYLE FROM PROPERTIES PANEL.

POSITION THE POINTER ON THE STAGE WHERE THE LINE IS TO BEGIN AND DRAG TILL WHERE THE LINE IS TO END.

RELEASE THE LEFT MOUSE BOTTON AS THE LINE WILL APPEAR IN THE STAGE AREA.

WORKING WITH SYMBOLS

• SYMBOLS ARE WHICH ARE USABLE ELEMENTS LIKE GRAPHIC ,BOTTON ,OR MOVIE CLIP THAT ARE CREATED ONCE CAN BE USED MANY TIMES TO MAKE FLASH MOVIE.

DIFFERRENT TYPES OF SYMBOLS:

1. GRAPHIC SYMBOL:THESE ARE THE STILL IMAGES USED AS PART OF THE ANIMATION.

2. BUTTON SYMBOL:THESE ARE THE ARACTIVE BUTTON THAT RESPOND TO MOUSE CLICK,ROLLOVERS OR OTHER ACTION 3. MOVIE CLIP SYMBOL: THESE ARE THE REUSABLE PIECE OF ANIMATION

WHAT IS PENCIL TOOL?

• The pencil tool in ADOBE FLASH CS5 is used to draw any of a picture in the same manner you draw in a sheet of paper in real life…

LETS SUMMARIZE

• Properties panel show properties of the select tool. examples: stroke color, fill color, stroke style, etc.

• stroke color is an outline of an object. Stroke means thin line.

• Fill color is the color filled inside a shape or object.

• Stroke style is the style of a stroke.

TO OPEN PENCIL TOOL

• Go to tool panel and click pencil tool option

• To select any of your choose of color , stroke and style go to FILL AND STROKE option in the properties panel..

• To choose any of the pencil mode go to tools option and select any of these following pencil mode : INK, SMOOTH OR STRAIGHTEN..

• To draw go to the stage area and draw your favorite picture…

FORMATTING TEXT

• Formatting text allows you to change the default form of text…

• You can change It to bold or italic style..

HOW TO USE FORMATTING TEXT?• To use formatting text …

• Select the text field using selection tool

• Click on character section in the properties panel select the font from the family popup menu

• Enter the value for the font size

• You can select any of these font text: BOLD or ITALICS in the style drop down menu

• To change the colour of your text click on colour control and change your favourite colour….

CREATING ARTWORK IN FLASH CS5

• The drawing tools in adobe flash cs5 let to create and modify shapes for the artwork in your flash document. Most drawing tools in flash are same as that of paint. as you have already learned, how to use paint, it will be easier for you to make use of these tools for creating your artwork. These tools are:

• Line tool
