Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC)

• We determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (the lowest concentration of active which does not allow microbial growth) with the strains which are relevant to each specific application, as a method of characterization of antimicrobial properties of actives.

Study of the kinetics of the antimicrobial activity

• We can study the kinetics of the antimicrobial activity of your active at each dosage by inoculating the strains of interest, comparing with traditional actives relevant to each application.

Preservation of cosmetic formulations

• We select the preservative system that best suits the requirements of your formulation. We are equipped to perform at ADMIXTIO all sorts of preservative efficacy testing, such as the preservation challenge test (ISO 11930:2012).

• We perform microbiological controls of raw materials and finished personal care products.

Anti-microbial activity of ingredients and formulations

• We can determine the capacity to inhibit microbial growth of oils, extracts and tinctures.

• We perform “in-vitro” efficacy testing with relevant micro-organisms to determine anti-dandruff, anti-acne, deodorant or sanitizing activities of active ingredients and formulations.

Preservation of Oral Care Formulations

• We select the most appropriate system to preserve your formulations and evaluate its performance by preservation challenge test.

• We perform microbiological tests of raw materials and oral care products.

Anti-microbial activity of ingredients and formulations

• We determine the "in vitro" anti-plaque activity of ingredients and oral care products by monitoring microorganisms typical of flora.

• We evaluate the kinetics of action of mouthwashes against specific microorganisms typical of the oral flora.

Disinfecting ability of ingredients and formulations

• We perform methods of "screening" in order to determine quickly and easily the disinfecting ability of actives and formulas, helping in the selection of the most effective ones.

• We propose special tests in order to demonstrate disinfecting effects under specific conditions.

• We perform standardized methods of characterization of the activity of disinfectants (EN 1040 , EN 1275, EN 1276, EN 1650, EN 13697, etc...)

Detection and count of pathogens and other microorganisms

• Count of microorganisms in food products (dairy, meat & poultry, RTE food, canned food, beverages…).

• Determination of presence/absence of pathogens.

• Analysis of water.

• Analysis of manufacturing environment.

Shelf life studies

• We perform the tests and statistical treatments necessary toestimate the shelf life of food & beverages, in usual and accelerated storage conditions.
