※ Students of Buddhist College are not allowed to change their major after admission, although pursuing a double major is permissible.
※ Classes of Bio-system College are conducted in Bio-medi Campus(Goyang City, Gyeong-gi Province)
※ Students of Korean Language & Literature and Creative Writing, Physics· Semiconductor, Police Administration and the Theater program will
choose their major at the point of graduation. English Language & Literature and the Architecture program choose their major when they advance to
the 2nd year of university.

middle / high school) outside of Korea - Foreign nationality of both parents not required - Korean applicants holding dual citizenships are not eligible for this requirement. ※ Starting from the year of 2020, those who have completed 12 years(or more) of primary and secondary education (elementary / middle /
high school) outside of Korea will not be able to apply.

Freshman Admission(1st-year)
- Graduates of regular high school or expected to graduate by August 2019.- Those who are considered to have equivalent education according to the related Elementary and Secondary Education Act
TransferAdmission (2nd-year)
- Applicants who meet all the freshmen admission requirements listed above and one of the following requirements:1) Completed(or will complete by August 2019) at least 1 full academic year (more than 2 semesters) at a 4-year university in
Korea or overseas (seasonal semesters not counted) ※ Applicants from an overseas university must have acquired (or will acquire by August 2019) more than one quarter of
the credits required for the graduation.(evidential document must be submitted)2) Graduated or expected to graduate by August 2019 from 2 or 3-year college in Korea or overseas.

(B) Applicants who completed their Korean language program in level 4 or above at Dongguk University(Seoul)- Only for applicants who completed Korean language course(level 4 or higer level) by Winter Semester 2018- Those who completed Korean language program from other universities are not applicable.

本科插班- 学籍在线验证报告 Academic Verification of 4-year University Enrollment (complete, leave of absence) + 高等学校学生成绩报告 Academic Verification of Official Transcript comfirmed by consulate (Number of achieved credits and credits required to graduate must contain on the transcript)
1. All successful candidates of international admission must register at only 1 university. Admission will be cancelled if violated. 2. Applicants applying for ‘international students who have received 12 years of education outside of Korea’ are allowed to apply up to 6 schools for 2019
Admission including Dongguk University. (No limits for ‘Non-Korean applicants with non-Korean parents’ applicants) 3. In principle, all documents submitted must be original. If a copy is submitted due to unavoidable circumstances, the copy must be compared with the original
at the Center for International Students before submission. (must bring the original) 4. The university is not responsible for possible disadvantages from lacking required documents or incomplete paperwork. If applicants fail to submit the
required documents which affects admission status, he/she will be disqualified without further notice. 5. If there are problems in clarifying any facts on the documentation submitted by the applicant, additional submission of documents may be required. 6. Notarized copy is valid for 1 year from the start dates of application. Notarized copies that are replacing any original documents must be a ‘true copy’
notarization. Translation notarized documents cannot be accepted as a ‘true copy’ notarization. (Only transcript is allowed for translation notarization) 7. Change or cancellation of the application is not allowed after the application period. 8. Documentations in foreign languages other than English, Chinese should be translated in Korean(or English) at the notary office. (Transcript must be notarized
and translated in Korean (or English). Transcript in Chinese is not acceptable) 9. Applicants must use their passport picture for application. 10. Application fee is not refundable after the online registration period. However, partial or full amount may be refunded under unavoidable circumstances, such
as erroneous payment, natural disaster, fail to meet the quorum, and change of application period after application starts, other than applicant’s mistakes. (Based on the refund policy of Dongguk)
11. If any information on the application form or other submitted documents are found to be false, or if the applicant uses unfair means to obtain admission, the application will be automatically disqualified.
1. Korean applicants holding dual nationality or applicants with stateless status are not eligible to apply. (Applicable to applicant and applicant’s both parents) 2. For those who did not acquire non-Korean nationality at birth, applicants and applicant’s parents must have obtained current non-Korean citizenship before
the applicants started their high school. (Applicable to applicant and applicant’s both parents)
1. Applicants who completed the entire course work of primary, middle, and high school outside of Korea with an education system that extends less than 12 years is recognized as having the equivalent academic background as the applicant who graduated from a Korean high school.
2. A prospective graduate is required to submit his/her certificates related to degree (graduation, transcript and academic verification) before August 2019. Failure to do so will cancel the admission.
3. Overseas educational institutes that are recognized by the related Education ct of its country will be accepted only. School Qualification Exam taken outside of Korea, Home-schooling, Cyber(internet) Schools, continuing education are not accepted as academic ability.
4. If an applicant does not cooperate with verifying degree or any documents, admission will be cancelled even after a successful admission.
1. Only students, who submit language scores by May 31st 2019. are accepted as successful candidates. Students who do not submit the score by the deadline will be accepted Dongguk as provisional admission. They may apply for university preparatory course.
2. Successful candidates of international admission without TOPIK level 4, must submit TOPIK level 4 or above within the period of attending school and possible to graduate (Otherwise, graduation is impossible.
3. Only valid language proficiency test scores by start dates of application are accepted. 4. Must take elective course(s) designated by the university based on applicant’s TOPIK level after admission.

Instructions for Applicants
1. If applicants or applicatns’ parents support the tuition fee 1) Certificate of applicant’s or applicant’s parrents’ bank balance with at least USD 20,000 or KRW 20,000,000 2) Valid period : Domestic bank account(certificate issuance within 1 week of the submission), Chinese bank account(must deposited by February 28th, 2020) 3) Original must be submitted. It will not be returned regardless of admission result.2. If an institution supports tuition with a scholarship 1) Certificate of Scholarship 2) Documents about the institution (Business Registration Certificate and etc.)
8. Other Things to Consider 1. Number of students selected is determined based on each department's educational environment and availability.2. Submitted documents are not returned regardless of the admission status.3. Details on the admission decisions or any information related to admission are not released.4. Cancellation of admission and tuition refund after registration must be done before August 23rd, 2019. - Required documents: Admission Cancellation Form, a copy of student’s bank book.5. Non-scheduled admission(e.g. KGSP and school-invited students with university scholarship) could be done if necessary with separate rules and conditions of
the admission procedure.6. Admission will be cancelled if an applicant cannot stay in Korea legally due to disapproval of visa type change or visa extension according to the regulation of
the immigration office.7. Matters not specified here will be decided under the University's Admissions Management Committee.

Issuance of Certificate of Admission○ Date : July 26th ~ August 30th, 2019 · Certificate will be issued only if tuition fee payment is made in full. · If there are any unsubmission documents, issuance of certificate of admission is not allowed.○ How to receive the certificate · Applicants staying in Korea : Students must visit Center for International Students (#543, Hyehwa Hall) · Overseas Applicants : Center for International Students will send it by EMS post (TBA)
2. D-2 Visa Application○ Applicants staying in Korea · Students must visit the immigration office to apply for visa status change. · Required documents (Submit to the immigration office) : Passport, Alien Registration Card, Certificate of Admission, Certificate of Registration(Tuition fee
Payment), Certificate of Residency(Housing Contract, Dormitory Certificate, and etc.), Processing fee 130,000, Certificate of Korean Language Course Enrollment including attendance rate, Transcript of Korean Lanauge Course (Only for D-4 visa holders) and Korean Bank Balance Certificate with at least 20 million KRW (Exception: Students who are attending Korean Language Center, Dongguk University may submit the certificate with 10 million KRW)
· Visa status change must be done by August 30th, 2019○ Overseas Applicants · Submit to the embassy of Korea in their home countries (Please contact the embassy to check required documents)
7. Bank Balance Certificate
- Health insurance is obligatory for every international student who is admitted to Dongguk University. (approx. 44,900KRW/semester)
- Pay the insurance fee with tuition during the registration period.- Please submit a copy of insurance certificate to the Center for International Students if you already have an insurance(e.g. Korean National Health insurance, other private insurance) before the registration period to opt-out.

○ In case of provisional admission (successful candidates who do not satisfy the TOPIK requirement), they are not allowed to study in Dongguk from spring semester, 2019. However, they will be able to apply for university preparatory course at our Korean Language Institute. If they satisfy the requirements for the preparatory course completion, they will be able to start the regular course without any admission process in the fall semester, 2019.
○ Outline and Introduction of Korean Language Institute - Intensive TOPIK course (Liberal Arts Courses(max 2 credits)) - Class period : 2019. 9 ~ 2020. 1 (Approx. 5 months) - If students satisfy the requirements for the Foundation course completion, they will be able to start the regular course without any admission process (Requirements : attendance rate is over 80% and achieve TOPIK level 3 or above) - Tuition Fee : 3,300,000 KRW - Students will hold D-4 Visa during the course. (Not able to change to D-2) - Student’s ID number and standard of scholarship will be decided after finishing Preparator course. - Application procedure and further information will be announced after admission announcement
