We are indeed very happy that the
Twenty Eighth Newsletter of our college is
released with the co-operation of our
Colleagues.
Our college was honoured with “Kalvi
Chevai Award – 2015”for being the Best
College by Supreme Soul Combines TV at
Omaiyal Aachi Nursing College, Chennai
on 20th February 2016. Our Madam
Principal Dr.L.Megala received the award
from Thiru.M.M.Rajendran, Honourable
Former Governor of Odysa (Orisa)
The 34th Graduation Day was celebrated
on 07.03.2016. Prof.A.P.Dash, Hon’ble
Vice-Chancellor, Central University of
Tamilnadu, Thiruvarur was the Chief
Guest.
A total of 482 students graduated this
year. 367 UG, 107 PG, 18 M.Phil., & 11
Ph.D. Scholars received their degrees and
60 Medals were distributed to the Medal
Winners.

Jeyem Pandian , Vice President Madam Mrs. Prema Jeyem Pandian , The Secretary Thiru. N.Kathiresan Prabhu graced the occasion. Prize were distributed to the students by the Chief Guest. The students entertained the guests and audience with various cultural programmes.

information about the nature of work,
purification of naphtha and other
treatment process of crude.

Days Special Camp on Health, Public
Sanitation and Personal Hygiene at
Anthanapettai and Manjakollai Adapted
Villages. The camp inauguration function
was held at Panchayat Union Middle School,
Anthanapettai on 10.30 A.M., 17th March
2016. The function started with the Tamil
Thai Vazhthu proceeded with welcome
address by Dr. C.J. Pricilla NSS Program
Officer. The presidential address and chief
guest speech “To Think High” was given by
our college principal Dr. L. Megala. Around
90 NSS Volunteers attend the camp. NSS
Program Officer Mrs.G.Anbarasi briefed the
programs in the camp. Selvi Jayanthi , NSS
Volunter gave the vote of thanks. The

On the First Day afternoon session by
1.30 P.M., 17th March 2016 the NSS
Volunteers was taken to the Anthanapettai
Village to give awareness on plastics to the
public and collect and clean the imperishable
plastics around the school campus and Sivan
Kizhla Veedi Streets of the village. Around

SPECIAL CAMP YOGA TRAINING
PROGRAM SECOND DAY –MORNING
On the Second Day 10.30 A.M., 18th
March 2016 Fore noon session the camp was
organized with a Yoga Training Program
and life Style Management by our College
Physical Directress Dr. Uma. Around 90 NSS
Volunteers and 50 School Students participated
the program. They were taught and explained the
value of yoga in their life style. More Yoga
exercises and asana were trained to the students
to lead a healthier life style to make the body fit.
Our College Yoga Students encouraged and
demonstrated the asana. The program was
organized by NSS Program Officers Dr. C.J.
Pricilla and Mrs.G.Anbarasi.
SPECIAL CAMP FIRST AID TRAINING
THIRD DAY –FORE NOON
On the Third Day 10.30 A.M., 19th March
2016 Fore noon session the camp was organized
by the First Aid Program. The NSS Volunteers
and the School Children were trained by the First
Aid team Co-ordinator of YRC Mrs.Alamelu,
Prof of History, ADM College for Women and by
an trainer Mr Benjamin , Red Cross Society,
Nagapattinam. The students were taught to
protect the life, reduce the pain and get a speedy
recovery from an critical situation. The Program
was more useful to the students. Around 80 NSS
Volunteers Participated the Program. The

2016 After noon session the camp was organized
to field visit for the awareness of Sanitation to
the public around the Anthanapettai and
Manjakollai Women. The Volunteers went
individually to the houses and met the women
and explain the need and awareness of women
sanitation by maintaining the cleanliness of
Sanitary Napkins. Around 80 NSS Volunteers
Participated the Program. The program was

conducted a workshop on Self Esteem and Self
Development by Mr.
Arumpooraichemmal, Founder, Continental
Academy, Nagapattinam. It was more insisted
about the self interest is the first root to hard work
and success. The Program was more essential for
their goal achievement in their life. Around 80

SPECIAL CAMP AWARENESS TO
CONSERVE ELECTRICITY BY CFL
BULBS
FOURTH DAY –AFTER NOON
1.30 P.M., 20th March 2016 After noon
session the camp organized an awareness
program on Conservation of Electricity by using
CFL Bulbs in and around Manjakollai Village.
And they explained the merits and demerits of
using CFL Bulbs so that they should be carefully
disposed after the usage because it leads to
cancer. Around 80 NSS Volunteers Participated
the Program. The program was organized by NSS

SPECIAL CAMP CLEAR BABUL TREES
AND PLANTS
FIFTH DAY –FORE NOON
On the morning session 1O.30 A.M., 21th
March 2016 the camp organized an field work to
Clear Babul Trees and Plants around the
Anthanapettai Village. The Village public helped
the volunteers to clear the Babul trees and plants
around the village which was a curse to the
agriculture lands. Around 80 NSS Volunteers
Participated the Program. The program was
organized by NSS Program Officers Dr. C.J.
Pricilla and Mrs.G.Anbarasi.
SPECIAL CAMP PLANTING SAPLINGS
FIFTH DAY –AFTER NOON
On the Afternoon session 1.30 P.M., 21th
March 2016 the camp organized to plant Sapling
around the School and Village and fenced with
the babul thorns as fencing. The Volunteers
planted 8 saplings inside the school campus and
20 saplings around the Anthanapettai. . Around
80 NSS Volunteers Participated the Program.

SPECIAL CAMP MOTIVATION TRAINING
SIXTH DAY –FORE NOON
On the morning session 1O.30 A.M., 22nd
March 2016 the camp organized a Motivation
training. The Training was conducted by Dr.
Anwar Ahamed, Asst. Prof of Economics, TVK
Govt Arts and Science College, Tiruvarur. The
Volunteers was trained by the secrets of success
and motivational cine songs, and Enrich the
analytical skills using power point presentation
with LCD projector. The volunteers were divided
into groups and had a group discussion on the
topics taught by the trainer. Around 90 NSS
Volunteers Participated the Program. The
program was organized by NSS Program Officers
Dr. C.J. Pricilla and Mrs.G.Anbarasi.
SPECIAL CAMP FIXING OF PLUCKOIDS
AND DENGUE AWARENESS
SIXTH DAY –AFTER NOON
On the Afternoon session 1.30 P.M., 22nd
March 2016 the camp made the volunteers to
prepared 150 Pluckoids on Social
Responsibility’s such as NO SMOKING,
AVOID ALCOHOL, HARVEST RAIN
WATER, KEEP THE CITY CLEAN, AWARE
ON DENGUE, RIGHT TO VOTE, AVOID
PLASTIC, PLANT TREES, Etc. The Volunteers
took the Pluckoids and pasted and fixed in the
walls and trees around the Anthanapettai and
Manjakolai Village. Simultaneously another
Group of Volunteers went into the village to give
an awareness of Dengue to the village public and

SIXTH DAY –FORE NOON
On the morning session 10.30 A.M., 23rd
March 2016 Fore noon session the camp was
organized by the Handicraft training Program.
The Program was Co-ordinated by Mrs. D.
Savithiri, Asst Prof of Economics, ADM College
for Women. The NSS Volunteers and the public
women were trained by Mrs Chellam. She taught
the volunteers and the public to design the rangoli
using ear buds, Glass works on cloths, Sticking
Dickey, Draw pictures on glittering papers suing
unused ball pens and pictures using coffee
powder. The Program was more useful to the
students and the public women. The Program was
Co-ordinated by Mrs. D. Savithiri, Asst Prof of
Economics, ADM College for Women. Around
90 NSS Volunteers Participated the Program.

FUNCTION
The camp valedictory function
was held in the Panchayat Union Middle School,
Anthanapettai . The function started with the
Tamil Thai Vazhthu proceeded with welcome

The presidential address was given by our

Kumar,Treasurer , Nagore Rotary Club,
felicitated,Rtn K. Sarvana Perumal President,
Nagore Rotary Club. Around 90 NSS Volunteers
attend the camp. Selvi Swathika, Selvi Gunavathi
, gave the feed back. NSS Program Officer
Mrs.G.Anbarasi gave the Vote of Thanks. The
Program ended with National Anthem.
